:!: :!: thats terrible.. i prefer the maids who own up their mistakes even if they are big mistakes rather than telling lies and making up stories :stupid:
I think it's like that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, a myth. So far my 2 indo maids would keep quiet and start red eyes if I ask whether something was done by them. The current myan one? Give me blur look and use the language as a barrier.

In all, they are not the untruthful type - at least they don't steal. But sometimes it's very tough trying to explain to them. Haizzzz

People like them, sometimes must really close 1 eye.

My helper scrubbed my bermudas (pretty new, wore 2-3 times only) until there was a hole...somewhere near the groin. Since it's a small hole and I intend to just patch it, remind her not to scrub so hard. Guess what's her reaction when I told her not to scrub so hard.........

\"NOOoooo Mdm, I didnt' scrub. I only use hand to wash lightly.
(the best part is here....) Mdm, is it you fall down so got hole? 😐\"

hmmm.....she must have been falling down a lot then....my poor parquet floor is full of holes/deep scratches/cracks ever since she came......damn heartpain åæƒē—›ć€‚

I already give up.....you know....sometimes from the way the maid behaves.....they seem pretty similar to the traditional MIL......
somehow after scolding one....I turn around to see the other one doing the same things 😢 :frustrated: 😢 Now I can only just bear and wait for the two to go and then I won't need the other anymore.

You must be ballet trained...to be able to fall down in precisely that manner so as to create a tiny hole. hee hee.

About washing clothes, I quite give up. First maid use bull strength - my clothes cannot last long. DH didn't dare let her wash some of his more treasured shirts.

2nd maid dunno what is strength, clothes not clean but can last very long.

3rd one now and I give up wondering what level strength she use. šŸ˜›

Actually I thot this maid ok....she actually offered to handwash cos' she says washing machine will spoil the clothes (I wash 95% of all my stuff).
So I let her help in some selected pieces....but now, I wonder which is safer.....perhaps still the washing machine šŸ™‚

And the thing is, for me, I won't know if I should be grateful she's taking the trouble to use strength to clean my stuff; or upset that her strength is resulting in damage. Either way, also 'long bia' :stupid:

conclusion: take it easy...and let her handle what you don't mind to spoil eventually.

So true. That's why sometimes cannot scold cos' they can take the easy way out and do it with so little strength that might as well dun do....
Just that very heartache eg. my parquet floor. I was doing it for 3 years myself keeping it in good condition.....now....haizzzz.....force myself not to see, see only fedup. Need my icecream now.... šŸ™‚

                Littlefly:
DesertWind, during the 3 years when your maid was experiencing through all this, did she request for salary advance ? or she just confideded in you coz she needs a listening ear ?

                Hi Littlefly,

No, she did not ask for any salary advance. She told me this when I saw her quite distracted and asked her whether everything was ok at home? How about her girl, ok? So she told me all these. Occasionally we will also chat and I will ask her how is her girl, aunty, husband?

The only time she asked for salary advancement was when her girl fell very ill (through eating too much MSG in Indo. causing her neck glands to swell very badly!) and her aunty called her to send money over so that they can send the girl to the hospital!

She was panicking and I agreed to help her. But I was quite shocked by the medical fees in Indonesia. The doctor for about one week stay at his home and treatment blah blah totals to SGD1,000! So I had to advance her 2 months at that time but subsequently told her it was only because it was her girl fell sick. Other people can forget about it!

Subsequently I told her in future at the most I will advance her one month salary and not more. Because from that experience, imagine 2 months without pay she otang me. I don't feel good and I am sure she didn't feel good too. So I told her it is for her own good I will not advance more than 1 month since the payback would be painful!

That time her husband was there in charge of sending her daughter to the doctor and subsequently I heard he took some money to spend for himself too.

                The lousy man! šŸ˜›

She was pretty helpless here in SG cannot do anything although she was quite :x
                Her \"blood\", \"sweat\" & \"tears\" money!
                😢
