      Hi adbie,

I am a working mum, so I would spend about ± an hour or lesser with my dd to coach her in her work. She has English and chinese tuition and ballet lesson weekly. Most of the time she is able to handle her tuition homework herself. She need help more often with school maths homework. My dd loves watching tv. So recently told her that she is not allowed to watch tv prog till 5 pm. Prior to 5 pm I want her to do her school work or tuition homework or reading … At night I would try to plan to let her do things that need my coaching … Well sometimes things don’t go smoothly as what I plan as I still got to handle my elder boy and other stuffs…

I don’t sit with her to do school work. She handles those on her own as it is very much managable at this level. She does assessments (which I do sit down and coach) on weekdays mornings and Sunday is reserved for tutors’ homework (this I don’t sit with her). hth.

          Hi parents of MBS,

I created an ID in KSP just to post this as I wanted to ask your opinion on the
following. As its raining heavily today, I personally walked my DS to school. To
my biggest surprise, I saw a guy distributing this (from city harvest church) to
          students of MBS:

          http://postimage.org/image/3myesjms/

It was school dismissal time, raining and a lot of students were crossing the
traffic light to the block where the guy was. He was busy distributing and
telling the students \"This party is FREE! Come and join us.\"

Now, can such flyers be distributed outside a primary school?

If it is outside the school premises, there is nothing which anyone can do. This guy must have been a newly convert because he didn’t think with whatever that is sitting on his neck. jmho.

My dd also handed me that church slip that day. I just threw it away.

                hi adbie,

i’m a working mum. usually not much time on weekday night to coach my dd sch work. my dd completes all her sch HW all by herself but she needs to be reminded when learning ting xie & spelling. there is no ‘automatic’ in her & either grandma or myself will coach on spelling & ting xie.

she has tuition on some weekday pm or nights. also have art class on Saturday morning. so far she is coping well on sch HW but unable to complete her tuition HW at times. can see that she is struggling at times. think she is very slow in writing…so somehow she wasted lots of time dilly-dally, taking her own sweet time to do HW etc…and she lacks focus…so this is the reason why she cannot complete her tuition HW.

My dd’s teacher has not finished teaching Lesson 12. She will let them know when she will be testing them.

                      Hi,

According to the tingxie list for P2s, there is no tingxie this week and next. The next one is on 24 May.

Hooray!!! SA1 is finally over!!! Heard this round’s papers are much tougher than CA1’s. Hope the kids can manage. My boy said that the Maths paper is tough and yet half the class got 90 & above. They are getting their Maths paper back today. Fingers crossed.
