I have 3 kids and by that time they are in P2, P4 and P5, my younger one will be affected. Toh Tuck is really too far and inconvenient for parent like me who needs to run two places and i am staying far away from the school.

        Hi mommyNg,

the P or VP seldom responds to emails....

the best way will be to set up a face to face meeting appt with her and bring up the issue face to face... the other way will be to voice out the concerns during the next PTA kopi session with the P... (the PTA route however is garnered by the PTA chairperson of the kopi session and all questions will be filtered... ie the P might not want to answer certain qns...)

Just my 2 cents worth of suggestions... and speaking from experience...

        Please tell us her response.

Sure! If she responds, that is.......[/quote]

Ok, maybe I’ll wait for 2-3 days to see if the P will respond. If no response, I’ll call the school either to talk to her thru the phone or make a appt to meet her in person.

Hopefully I’ll have some info to update here sooner or later…

Still no reply. I just called the office.... office admin said the P is really really busy.... tried to fix an appt to talk to her in person, the next available slot is 1 month's time!!!

Anyway, hopefully some of us may have more details in the meantime, otherwise I can only update here after the exams are over!

                thankgod:

i guess the main gist of the consideration has to be transportation from NYPS to CIS in the morning and CIS back to NYPS at the end. NYPS has to be the official drop off / pick-up location, although i realize that some parents would rather drop off / pick-up at CIS. but remembering that these children are P1/P2, they really need to learn how to get home nd to give them confidence. imagine the chaos at dismissal when some children will be picked up at CIS whereas others will be picked up at NYPS. it will be so much simpler for teachers if all drop-off/pick-ups are to be done at NYPS. teachers will assemble with the children at NYPS do a roll-call in NYPS then take shuttle to CIS for classes. at the end of day, teacher will do roll-call again and take shuttle back to NYPS for dismissal. no drop-off/pick-up at CIS. that's my 2cents.
Thank god this is just your 2 cents. We bring our kids to NYPS, then they take a bus to CIS. At the end of the day, they take a bus to NYPS, before going home? What a waste of 2 hours (transport + assembly). And what if the kids go missing? Who will be responsible? Will the principal and teacher commit seppuku? I disagree with such an arrangement.

i think you guys with vest interest in NYPS should pick up the phone and call the P on the proposed venue and voice your concern

vk2010, the P very difficult to get hold, even on the phone lah.... of course, unless u have personal connections..... Otherwise, if there are parents who wish to piggyback on my appt with the P, please feel free to PM me!

If I am waiting in the school for my dd it’s easier to "see" the VP around but not the Mrs Lee. Occassionally she be at the school gate welcoming the kids to school. 😛
