she is with you for how long? not sure whether you post about this, didn't read back.
or maybe she got friends giving her ideas? mine hor, haiyo, she don't have any off days for the past 2yrs. then i started 1 off day, then 2, blah blah. now new contract i said 3mths 1 off, she ok with it initially. then now huay kar (colour legs in hokkien), wants 1 off day every mth! :x

i'm finishing off the contract w her in June.. and this is by tahan-ing all her nonsense for so long... many many pep talks.. etc... again, only reason we wanted to keep her was the ease of continuing.. no need retrain, no need risk of another person whom we dunno clean or not, can trust or not, will be nice to my boy or not... btw, i made request to agent for no HP, no off days.. cos' my 1st fili maid also chu pattern after 3 mths here.. got off day really spoil their attitude to work!

so, how u gonna handle ur maid's request??

I meant that i've given her ultimatum too!! But she still continue to ignore her alarm clock and wake up late! :faint: So, her problem is attitude and no respect for our instructions!

Somehow I feel a bit apologetic to her...overall she's good and I rely on her very much since the birth of my DS2 and DS3...she's been with us for almost 6 yrs (leaving us soon in jun)..

Personally, I'm someone who doesn't like confrontation and conflicts so now I am feeling really awkward, feel like telling her it's ok, just dun do that again but scared 越描越黑...should I just let the episode pass? I also scared she'll vent it or my children? Or add ingredients on DH food or drink..hai am I thinking too much?

Jun is only another 1+ months.....as long as not overboard, I think should just let it pass. NO point triggering her wrath now....好聚好散。 At this point in time, the maid will have no fear liao....so better be more careful

I just behave like nothing happen and all's well now...but totally agree with your point above \"my maid will have no fear liao\"...she's literally behaving like ORD attitude, just now even went to bathe when I was busy with my 2 elder kids and youngest baby wailing for her! Goodness gracious! Also automatic cut down the daily mopping of floor to every 2-3 days once... Haiz I also no choice just act blur and pretend to say eee why floor so dirty lately, hoping she catch the hint...maybe she also no stamina to serve me anymore...why can't she also adopt the 好聚好散mentality since our relationship has been cordial all along...haiz in any case, I hope the new maid I've shortlisted is good..

is your agent responsive type? i.e. when you have problems or want replacement, they are still helpful?? if the agent is not too bad, would like to get your agent contact... tks!! :D[/quote]The service is quite normal loh, cos I had change many agency, and I thk this one reasonable price. If you complain about maid will also had counselling session. If some problems in delay on maid, they will help to get a temp helper. But I never accept la.
But their Biodata on maid always different one, so if you get maid from them double confirm yourself with maid. Tele-conference interview is better. I think to get maid is our own luck lo, so I am not particular on agent, but you must be careful when you sign the contract, like how many replacement, insurance all this better confirm, refund also must check properly. She is supposed to wake up at 5.30am everyday... her work schedule ends at 9.30pm (with an hour for her to clean up herself)... total of 8 hours sleep... when i say wake up late, she can wake up late by 20-60mins.. got once, a wkend.. she didnt wake up till 7am! :x

Just hang in there until new maid arrives?

My ex PHIL maid also cannot wake up early ( i know she does it like 7plus) coz she helps with caring for my baby at night. Now current maid can wake up at 6.30am every morning coz she has uninterrupted sleep while I wake up at night to make night feeds for my boy. She's lucky liao coz my neighbour's maid wakes up 6am and retires only around 10plus.

I wonder if others are also facing login issues - i kept having trouble accessing this forum until now.

After reading both of your posts, I feel that my helper should stop comparing herself with other maid because she wake up around 7.30am daily and by 9pm she is preparing for bed.


There once both of us has a dispute, she pissed me off by saying,"Why should I when the other maids don’t need…blah blah…". :x

me too, facing login issues. had to change my password then able to log in.

i heard my neighbour's previous maid used to sleep at around 1am (time not fixed) & had to wake up at 6am. sometimes the employer aka the wife deliberately knocked her door until the maid woke up.

5.30am early ah? mine also wake up @ 5.30am daily. but sometimes cant wake up. occasionally on weekends she sleeps in like 7am, mil allowed her. bedtime is about 9-10pm.
