      nonKiasu:
I wld say that whichever company we select, it all depends on who the chef is! .... Now, the taste is more 'normal'. But all 'eatable' to me 🙂 That prob explain why I can tahan so long - taste diff from mth to mth! But 2 things quite constant are 1) chicken and pork dishes are on alternate days. 2) on days where there is chicken dish, the soup is chicken too, and days w pork dish, soup is pork as well.

      Hi nonKiasu,

Had my first Empire dinner today! I must say the dishes are really quite edible, although plain a bit but OK since no MSG and not too salty is fine with me!

      Todays' dishes:
      1. 2 Fried chicken legs
      2. Braised Tofu with Eggs
      3. Bean sprouts (quite fresh, clean and crunchy!)
      4. Pork soup with winter melon & wolfberries (quite ching dan and nice!)

So no leh, got pork soup but dish is chicken. This is fine with me because my maid cannot eat pork leh so she got to forego the soup!

Based on today's dishes, I will give it a thumbs up!
      😉

Anyone tried vegetarian tingkat before? How’s their food? Easily tired/bored compared to non-vegetarian’s? Any good recommendation for those who are NOT vegetarians but would like to try out the vegetarian tingkat? TIA.

                Hi,

just want to ask all the mummy whom order tingkat here.

                - Is tingkat more cheap then you cook yourself at home?
cos for me I find is a bit ex to do home cooking cos i buy most of my ingredients at wet market and is not cheap man it cost me about 50-70 per week.

                - Why you chose to order tingkat?

My maid is going back end of May and i will be taking care my 2 children myself, one is gg to 3yrs old and one is 15 mth only.

Do you advice tingkat for such a young age children?

                Thank you very much!!!

                Cheers
                EIleen

It actually depends on what you cook. At times, a dinner for the whole family can cost as low as $6 to as high as $50. But on the average, if you are talking about last time, home cooked meals are cheaper because things weren’t as costly as now. But for now, it is almost the same although sometimes tingkat could be cheaper. Again, depending on what you cook lah.

I compare with my friend where she buy from supermarket is cheaper than wet market so actually wet market is not cheap.

MY soup cost will be high cos for me my children n hubby love to drink soup so my soup got a lot of good stuff.

I am just worry that tingkat is no good for small children.

Hi Mommies, I am using Tingkat deliveries from Chu Wei San Tong for a month now. My two kids, 4 and 6, like the food. Personally, I find the cooking quite healthy. Not oily at all and quite tasty. They go easy on salt as well, and no thirsty feeling after meals. Menu also looks good. Delivery is also quite prompt. I strongly recommend 😃

i think your kids are too young to have tingkat.

maybe you could order tingkat for your hubby and yourself and cook some simple dishes for your kids.

i also dont wish my kids to have food poisoning lijke what happened at pat's schoolhouse (news report in papers today).
