1. There could be people who drop off by the next day.
2. Some higher priority buckets may just take up exactly the number of places available, so no balloting at all.
That said, it still doesn't look too good for parents hoping to escape balloting for those schools, especially if they stay beyond 1km. -
going by the stats below, I doubt any withdraw would change the situation.
Ai Tong … vac 44 … reg 55
Catholic … vac 28 … reg 39
Methodist Girls … vac 37 … reg 55
ACS Junior … vac 53 … reg 58
South View … vac 52 … reg 64
Tao Nan … vac 82 … reg 83
ACS Pri … vac 26 … reg 31
St Hilda’s … vac 45 … reg 46
more schools are sure to join the list at the end of tomorrow. -
Is it possible to know the number of students who are currently staying within 1km during last day 's registration? Will the school tell us? This information will be very helpful to gauge our chance and decide if we still want to carry on..........:?: :?: :?:

Call the school tomorrow morning. They will definitely tell you the info you are asking for, so that you can make alternative plans. -
We have created a running record of the Phase 2B APP rates in http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/2010-p1-registration-phase-2b. It could be useful for people to find out the APP rates of the school they are targeting, and make decisions for tomorrow.

All this is new to me but if i read it right, schools like rgps, henry park, nanyang still have vacancies in phase 2b. So that means if those who pv, sure get in one by now under 2B?

Perhaps they have not compiled the numbers for the day yet. No school wants to set parents on a wild goose chase. If they already know that balloting will occur for under 1km and you are beyond 1km, they will advise you, so that you can make alternative arrangements (assuming you have another school you can go in Phase 2B). -
today only first day of phase 2B, thus they can’t tell.
if you call tomorrow say just after lunch, they should be able to give you good estimate since registrations ends at 3pm.
