            Hi kabalevsky,

My two darlings get along pretty well. My DD likes to pat, hug and feed my Chow Chow. Sometimes she can be naughty and bully him instead by tugging his fur or chase him with her riding toy. We are very lucky to have a good-natured and gentle Chow Chow who knows better to steer clear of my DD when she is in her naughty mode.

that's really nice. πŸ™‚ i hope to keep a pet in future too (used to have dogs, 3 in total when young). now i really have my hands full. my boys do keep asking for a pet, but they are still not old enough to help me yet, so I told them to wait a few more yrs. πŸ™‚

So you are a dog lover too πŸ™‚

Yes, good idea to wait till your kids are old enough to be able to help care for the pet. Having pets will teach them responsibilities and compassion.

My DD loves animals, especially dogs. She probably thinks that every family has a pet cos my in-laws have a Shih Tzu, my parents have a cat and she visited some of my friends' places and they happened to have pets too.

                    Hi kabalevsky,

I saw your feedback on TaRa@ JP. Will you be enrolling your DD there?

                      hi peonies,
Dd's 15mth now, 3more mths to go. Am still undecided.

While I really like the space, the bright cheery decor, the facilities and those wooden puzzles and painting stuff, I would like more emphasis in Mandarin. They told me Chinese is on Friday only.

                      I know I'm nitpicking cos it's just 2h a day... kekekeke

See how, I'm also looking at Montessori.

                      how abt you?

Well you have some time to do your research before you decide on a playgroup πŸ™‚

Location and convenience are important to me cos I can't drive and sometimes I need my parents to help me send/pick up my DD after playschool, so I am restricted to the Jurong Point (near my parents' place)/ Jurong West St 64 area. And Tara seems to be the \"best\" playschool in the area based on what I've checked. I'm already quite happy that they have Mandarin once a week....hehehe

I read that some schools use the Montessori term loosely. They may have the M word but the cirriculum and method of teaching is not purely Montessori. Please share with me if you found any good Montessori. πŸ™‚
