no it is a playgroup, for 18mth to 3yrs old. Not childcare. only 2hrs per day, 5 days a week. 1 month $220.

I find the teachers patient and friendly. They were open to letting me observe with dd. I was able to sit, observe or join in and they allowed me to view all the facilities. I have gone to centers that refused parents who want to tour the place or sit in to observe. I guess this tells me they have nothing to hide.

I like that the whole place has glass viewers so I can peek in on my child anytime.

It is spacious, cheery, and most of all I love the portrait painting \"easels\". Don't know how to describe those. I think you really have to go down to take a look yourself!

I went when they just opened the school for a week, and recently when I went to have another look (cos I'm still waiting for dd to be 18mth), they now have many more kids enrolled so they opened an afternoon class as well already.

I have enrolled my 18 month-old DD to the playgroup She is happy so far and her favourite toys are the kitchen set, the \"tunnels\" and the balls. I have been keeping her company for the past two days so I dunno how she'll be when I leave her there with the teachers and classmates. So far the principal is happy to let parents accompany the child in the class.

DD is in the new session and there are only 4 kids in the class. Hopefully the kids will get used to the environment soon so that they can have a more \"structured\" session everyday. I noticed the school does not adhere strictly to the daily timetable so I guess they want the kids to get used to the new environment first by allowing them mostly free play throughout the 2 hours.

glad your dd is enjoying it! how old is your dd and what time is her session?

i think another plus point is while our kids are playing n learning, since the location is good, we can enjoy a cuppa plus run errands n shop then pick them up.

Yes, one reason I picked Tara is that my parents can help me send and/or pick up my DD after the class cos they stay near JP.

I think the 11.15am time slot might be good for another reason too. If I send her to the 9am class, I will only have McDs and NTUC to go to, during her lesson time.

If her class is at 11.15am, then all the shops in the entire JP would be open by then, including all the restaurants and cafes, so there are many more options. Banking and running other errands would be more feasible too.

Currently I bring her everywhere I go cos I have no one to place her with, but I can certainly do things much much faster without lugging her around. So that's very very attractive for me.

I don’t have any kids there but I live around that area and every day I will push dd in a stroller, walking around that area. I have a niece who attended nursery at 662B for a while too.

What I observe is that the kids have a lot of fun, they have speech and drama, cookery, PE outdoors, walkabouts (often it would be the Chi teacher bringing groups of kids around the estate)…

I happened to be showing a neighbor’s pet rabbits (that family has about 6 pet bunnies) to my dd, then the whole class came around with the teacher talking to the kids about rabbits in Chinese, and asking them what rabbits eat, how do we take care of pets and so on.

During Halloween last year, they had this mass celebration with other PCFs and all the kids were parading in their costumes. All the kids were so so cute that dd was enthralled, so we followed them for quite a distance, the kids were having so much fun.

Last year or this year, 661B also became "premium" PCF. 661B and 662B share the same principal, I think, and pay the same fees, have the same curriculum. But 662B seems to have won several awards, according to their noticeboard.

662B also has see-thru panels so I can observe their classes everyday when I pass by, but 661B doesn’t.
