mralvinchong:
Hello All,
I am new here. Just heard about this active site for parents from my friends and came to have a look. Wow, it's really active.
I have a P4 DS and P1 DD in Pei Chun.
I just quit as a teaching staff from Pei Chun last year.
(It has been a great 10.5 years there. I still miss teaching there)
I found out that my younger 2 needed consistent help due to some LD.
MOE doesn't allow such off time and I made the choice to spend more time with them. So now I am at home with them and doing tuition to supplement the income.
I love the emoticons here. It's such a long list.
BTW, does anyone know how to delete the photo that I have as my avatar. So mahloo. Newbie come in and just gave the picture and found out no one here post their pics. TIA
So New daddy Reporting In
:salute:
Not an easy decision to quit!! Welcome and we hope you can share any info about the school since you have been with Pei Chun for sooo many years!! -

Am keen but just wondering whether a few sessions of creative writing classes can do a lot or not?? But most classes are in the 1st week, we going away for a short trip... if only the school let us know slightly earlier...Welcome to the thread, mralvinchong!
Are any parents here sending your child to the holiday enrichment classes offered by the vendors through the school ?
Btw, my girl has received her results for English MA2... so parents may wish to check with the kiddos... hehehe... -
Is it me or Peichun's website is down?

Daddy
There was a Parents' Notice to inform parents that the school had engaged a new vendor for its website and they are now doing the transition to the new website.

Received a consent form for my P1 girl. They going to Marina Barrage this friday. The confusing thing is the teacher wrote the starting time as 4pm?? Any parent can advise? I saw the itenery at the back of the form, stating that the kids will leave school around 1plus and return at 5pm. Can I safely assume there’s no class at all on Friday?

Received the consent form for the excursion to the Barrage but I think different classes goes on different dates. My child's class is going on 18th May. Also, did not receive any parent's notice that the website is down.
Am glad that I could get updates from here. -

My gal said they need to bring chinese textbooks on fri and her Pupil's diary wrote : Spelling on friday. Hence, I think there's still going to have lessons on the excursion day. -
The MA2 is over, hooray!!! My girl is happy because she has got no homework from me today… hehehe…
Anyway, she’s gotten her Maths results yesterday. Any parents has any updates on the children’s english and chinese and maths AA? -
Hi,
I havent seen the papers yet. But my son shared with me his scores. This time he didnt do that great.
Rather disappointed coz when working with him it seems that he can even handle the more difficult sums. He said he was very nervous hmm…
Received a slip of paper today that he has been identified to go for extra classes in Chinese speech. Called the school and was told that this is not the same as AS. Apparently 3 kids from every class who score alright but come from English-speaking backgrounds (and it shows) from every class is picked to begin once a week lessons on Fridays next term. As I see it, am grateful for the school’s sppt and think my kid will enjoy extra speech classes. Now I know why PC is a top school. Damn hardworking!! Pardon my language haha…
