But what is thsi Kreiten Sweets?
Don't think I ever Try -le?!
Must Be Super Good that It locks in your Memory.... Can Still Get it Now?!

Ahhh, the Kreiten sweets. Half caramel, half soda. I remember that eating too much will hurt my tongue. Not that it ever stopped me from continuing.

          Chief, Sounds Yummy ....
Can Still Get it Somewhere?[/quote]I may have been mistaken... it is not Krieten's almond sweets as posted by tankee. It's another type - in a yellow wrapper wrapped as a traditional sweet, ie. not a cube. I cannot find a picture or remember its brand.

life was so much fun then and so many interesting things to do/see/try

maybe we didnt have to spend so much time studying so whatever free time available was used to explore and had fun. I only went home when it was time for dinner and shower as I lived in the kampong and had so many secret places to check out with my whole gang of friends.
I wish our children had such fun like what we did…

Yes. That's our \"cable TV\" of yonder days. I wonder what happened to all the wires they laid.

The Kreiten sweets I mentioned also came in orange flavour

                        Other titbits I remember were:
                        1. barley-mint sweets (long white ones) and mint (light blue with see through wrapper)
                        2. preserved papayas sliced and dipped in yellow liquid
                        3. preserved red plum that made your tongue and finger red after holding
                        4. pink chewing gum with tatoo on its wrapper that you can transfer onto your hands/leg etc
                        5. tikum tikum

so many yummy stuff
