i remember going to the 'happy world" cinema (i think that was the name) at geylang with my young friends to watch all the taiwanese romance shows 我是一片云，海鸥飞处，独臂侠，all the 双林双秦，邓光荣，甄珍，shows.


so cheap the tickets and the whole group of primary school kids were took up at least one whole row of seats eating kachang puteh.

oh, the ghost shows of that era were so frightening as well. the 蛇魔女 was one that gave us lots of nightmares.

tv shows were equally good. 声宝之夜，家在大巴窑，当我们都在一起，家变，网中人，书剑恩仇录，陆小凤 remington steele, murder she wrote, etc.

and who can forget our talentines, 星广三朵花- 李季美，贝星妮，林安宁 etc.

me took those buses before and my siblings would collect the colourful tickets and played at home. Still remember the dim orangy lights when we took the bus at night and sometimes cockroaches running around :yikes: There was conductor then who would punch holes onto the tickets

I remember sometimes the windows cannot be pushed open, the suckers always gt stuck... and we will always push the windows right up to the opp side ( the seat in front of us; the windows are shared) if the seat in front of us is not taken
