        Please help with this question:

Jovi had 2 strings, string A and string B. Initially, string A was thrice the length of string B. Jovi then cut 9.1m from string A and 140cm from string B. The length of string B became 1.5 times of string A. What was the length of string A at first?

        Thanks!

Need help for the following questions:

              1. String A was 12m shorter than String B. 4/9 of String A and 1/6 of String B were cut off. The remaining length of String B was twice the remaining length of String A. How long was String B at first?

              2. At a seminar, 20 of the participants are females. Halfway through 3/4 of the males left the seminar. If 1/6 of the original number of participants are now males, find the number of people at the seminar at first.

              Thanks,
              wkong

                        HI,

                        3 mangoes cost $5
                        so 1 mango cost $(5/3)

                        Number of mangoes = p / (5/3)
                        = p x (3/5)
                        = 3p/5 mangoes
