      thanks to all.

i hv the ikea low stool. its good in that it doesnt slip at the bottom and on the surface… but its light. so if my naughty kid tip toes on it, i scared it will topple forward

So far no problem cos the base of the stool is broader then the top so not easy to topple.

But if your kid still need to tip toe and stretch to reach to tap then in that case, the stool is not high enough for him.

When DS was much younger, in order to reach the tap on the sink, I have 2 step stools for him. Lower step stool to get onto the higher step stool in order to reach the tap. Haha. Even then, I do not allow him in the toilet unsupervised.

just now i put three ikea low stools (stacked together) for my 3 year old to try (she coming to 4). she can reach. but just realised she likes to JUMP off the stool after washing her hands 😞

plus she may not put both legs on the stool properly

                Hi Hi,

Yup, Ikea’s low step stools (those white with colourful dots on top!) for my DS (coming to 4 yo) too!

Stack 2 together for him to get onto the adult toilet and then push them to the sink for him to wash his hands afterwards. He is at all times supervised because after washing his hands, he need to turn and step down. The stool is quite narrow so I scared he step down and onto the sometimes wet and slippery floor may slip so always hold his hand to turn and then step down from the stools. The stool itself not slippery.

Anyway, yeh, still got to tightly supervise!

thanks. i hv 3 kids, only #3 is young - 3yo. but becos sometimes i m out, my maid doing housewk or checking on other kids, and my #3 is the independent type - she can even climb onto the toilet bowl (whc has child seat) herself without tellg pple or asking for help! - i find that no poss to be always ard to supervise given her character. eg if i ask #1 to turn on the lights, #3 will go find a stool immediately and stand on the stool trying to reach the switches, while #1 still dilly dally.

sigh, since i cant find a good solution, i decided to just do a children sink, scared at nite my #3 go herself or other kids go toilet wifout turning on the light, if the stool is not put back to proper plc in the toilet, they can trip n fall n knock the toilet bowl.

Mine is also the lower ikea step stool. My son use it for pass urine and wash hand. Of course I’m around when washing hand. As for urine he did it himself.
