          From what I understand:

          1) P1 and P2 in afternoon session, the rest in morning. When in P3, the class size increase, so I guess that's why they can squeeze P3-P6 in 1 session. Kids also take up CCA from P3 onwards, in the afternoons after lesson.
          2) Pei Chun going single session in 2016, confirmed by P during orientation, unless there are changes we are not aware of
          3) Regarding CCA that help kids to go to Sec school, I think as long as your kid excel, any CCA can help in DSA. However, need to see which sec school you are targeting at and also the talent of the child.

So is it really very crowded in the morning session?? I can imagine the cars outside the school before & after school...

My child would be going to Barrage on Wednesday? Wonder what they should pack for the excursion. Was told that they would still have spelling after the excursion. Its their PE day that day too, thus should they be wearing uniform or pe attire and would the normal classes resume after they returned from the excursion?

Attire for the excursion is PE attire. My girl went to Marina Barrage last friday and she said it's very very fun. She has no PE on last Friday but the consent form stated PE attire. U can pack some bread/sandwiches for snacks, wet tissues, rain coat. Yes they hv spelling when they go back to school ard 5 plus. She brought back a booklet about the place... Think it's an interesting excursion.

Am not too sure about the average marks for MA2… are you referring to all the subjects? My girl’s MA2 average is 23/25 for the 3 subjects… she also just gotten her Chinese AA2 results…she said it’s listening comprehension paper…

Btw, any parents has any updates on the parents-meet-teachers session??

                        Hi Berry,

I like Step by Step Maths (EPH). Looking at how the recent PC MA included a no. of higher order thinking questions, I'm checking out Challenging Maths too (EPH). Andrew Er I think is good for drilling, but i find some of the assessment books bit simple.

For English, I focus mainly on grammar especially in context i.e. prefer close passage over MCQs or short questions. I particularly like Longman, Topical Practice. Vocab, I prefer for him to pick up through reading. I dont have any assessments books for compo or compre, at least not yet!

Chinese, my kid is attending Hua Language Ctr. We dont do so much assessment books with him. :boogie:
