RR # does not change. It should be the same from China port to SGP port. That is what I have seen on my first parcel's tag from China shipping company.

If you search Singpost delivery @ google, you will be shocked to hear so many cases of wrong delivery.

Worse is that when delivery has been changed to 5 working day and no 24hrs support over wrong delivery. I was so fuming mad at Singpost. It got me into panic attack that I knocked on neighbours' door asking whether did they received my parcel.

Stupid excuses coming from the hotline service 1605 telling me to get the China shipping company to email to them what is the address they put on the parcel's tag. That is when I screamed at them to show me the evidence and then they really woken up from their dreamland. What I can see is Singpost is good at pushing blames on others.

Auto reply from Dangdang is when there is a change in the ownership of the parcel. I have just checked my 2 other parcels which are supposedly at Singpost. I have called Singpost and they mentioned they can't find in the system. Dangdang revert and mentioned that my parcels are currently hold back or detained at Singpost for sercurity checks. :frustrated: don't know whom to believe.
Ohhhh you have auto email from DD when the parcel change ownership? I have never rec that before. Maybe it's a new thing that DD put in.

From what I know if the item has not cleared custom, Singpost will not have any record. So maybe both are right. If your item is in custom waiting for security checks, SingPost will not know. Maybe DD does not know that custom and Singpost are 2 different components.

Yeah, I wonder the same as SAHM_TAN about that auto reply from Dangdang. laughingcat, What is that auto reply? Is it the thing on the dangdang website when they change the status of the package from "in delivery" to "delivered"? because I got that change in status today, but no email from dangdang about the change. (My package is now 5 days late)

the auto reply is to my email from dangdang.

A typical example of the subject of the email:- 请确认订单69649XXXXX中的商品已收到‏

The content will be as follows:-

So based on the above, the parcel has already reached the destinated port of call as mentioned in "您订单69649XXXXX中的商品已于". This parcel was send out from the dangdang warehouse on the 16 Mar 2011.

It is not dangdang website that you should see the status of the delivery to singapore. One should refer to dangdang website only if you want to know whether your order has successfully acknowledged by dangdang.

The moment when dangdang provides the registered article #, then you should refer to the following websites to do the proper tracking of the parcel delivery status:-

To see when the parcel has transferred out of China port embark to SGP:-
*Note* select the Item Tracking section.
              http://intmail.183.com.cn/item/trace/itemTraceAction.do?action=Enter

Once you see the status as \"departure from outward office of exchange\" means the parcel is inside the cargo and it is on its way to SGP.

Thereafter you should go to Singpost to track your item:-
*Note* select the Registered Article Status Information.
              http://www.singpost.com/ra/ra_article_status.aspx

Errrrmmmm…sorry to burst your bubble, from my previous experience that auto email is not a good indication that the books have reached Singapore.

@laughingcat- I really hope you are right because I got that email from Dangdang the 15th of May. However there is no update on the intmail website for my books since the 31st of March. I dont mean I think your lying but I just wonder where did you get the information about that the auto reply is a indication of mine package changing hands? 🙂

huh? Why should I be lying or why should I indicate I am lying? Very strange. I even replied to dangdang on almost my first 3 auto email on my parcel status and it is truely what is stated.

I would think you need to exercise your own findings as well. I tracked my item from the 5th week my parcel shipped out of China port of call. Also from the shipping webby (both at China and SGP), it reflected correctly or close to the date of the auto email. For sure, there is no gain in me sharing. So why should I lie? Very strange the message you are trying to put across. For your own info, I need to be careful in my tracking, coz I am buying on behalf of another mother here in this forum. So pls don't flame me yeah. 🦆

I think you have mistaken here. I am not just using the auto email as the only form of verification here. But so far for all my 8 parcels that I have ordered, the auto-email did indicated and reflected correctly. So once I received the auto-email from dangdang that the parcel left China port or reached SGP port, I will exercise confirmation by checking the status using both the china and sgp webbie and replied emailed.

I would advised that you exercised due dilligence in your own verification as well. Auto-email from dangdang is only an indication that they are tracking the parcels. So whenever there is a reflection on the ownership of the parcel, there will be an auto-email from dangdang. This is from my experiences with the 8 parcels that I have ordered so far. I strongly believed they are correct or close to accuracy.

To show that I am not lying or whatever you may be intended to mean, here is the evidence or what I am intended to explain.

With comparison between the auto-reply from dangdang and the shipment tracking webby, they are accurate or close to accuracy. Considering the different timezone and system time delay between 2 countries.

So pls don't flame me yeah 🦆 . Like any mother here, I am just a working mum. No relation with dangdang or shipping company. So no gain in me sharing. Just want to relieve the burdens of mums who have loads of questions pertaining to delivery. This is first time I have ordered so much at one go without trying out first. At one shot I have placed 8 orders, not forgetting 3 orders are from another mummy who is waiting patiently.

I have placed 1 order from 65daigou which is indeed much faster but actually more expensive as compared to dangdang shipping company. I received my 65daigou order exactly on the 2nd week. Now I am contemplating whether should I use 65daigou for my subsequent orders from dangdang.
