Hi Lucky, just saw yr info that TNS may move to Tampines. Now I'm really worried, it will be a long drive to school in Tampines if they really move cos I stay near current TNS school. Hope to be able to verify this b4 registering next wk under 2C in TNS.[/quote]hi Working_mumLucky:

I saw this from mummyloves message in other threads.
I guess it's a matter of no choice if you want your child to study in TNS. It's a little inconvenience that you will need to accept. Think positively, after the reno and upgrading, yr child will be studying in a more conducive environment with better facilities and infrastructure.
I saw in earlier posts that some parents commented that it's the TNS school teachers who told their students. I am sure there is some truth in it as 无风不起浪。
Anyway, the choice is up to you whether you ultimately want to register him/her or not in TNS.
Good luck in your registration process !

First have to confirm whether TNS is shifting temporary or permanently. If temporary then there is no panic. But if permanent then those houses within 1km will sure to drop after TNS move out. So in order to avoid the losses, sell the house before TNS move and buy a house in Tampines near TNS before the price shoot up. Good luck!!!

Hi mommy love, saw your posting that you’ve friends who are teaching in TNS. what are their comments on the school? is it true that their primary focus is on classes that excel? do they help in weaker students? if they do, what are the involvements? Whatever info you gather are welcome ^_^
Last Q, why you choose TNS? did you base your decision after speaking to your friends?
seems like quite a lot of questions huh… heheee… it’s just that only recently get to know that they don’t get School of Distinctions and other awards by the MOE compare to those hokkien huay kuan sch that are not GEP standard. really worried that their focus is on ‘smart’ students who can help to maintain their academic rankings rather than the overall welfare of the students. -

if the upgrading takes 2-3 years, those entering next year will not get to enjoy much of the new buildings .... -

Hi, can't seem to open the powerpoint file (error msg when trying to open) . Is there anywhere else i can obtain this slide info? Does the slide says TNS is moving. I'm most concern on this. Appreciate your advice.Tao Nan School 2009 Pr1 Curriculum Briefing Slides

hi Working_mum, I think you need to be patient and wait for the file to open. This is the briefing to parents who had kids that entered P1 this year.
