Cos you see after 3 kids i kinda feel that this tum is like a rubber band..
Can lose can gain.. very flexible. :politebleah:

        :offtopic: hor..

Back to topic, i agree with jesschan, 2ppaamm & Chenonceau..
I had similar experiences with my DDs Ts as well when it came to ambiguous
questions. A couple of times i wasn't satisfied with the reply given cos it doesn't
make sense.. Then DD2 just said, teacher didn't reply to your note. She just said
this is how the teachers do it. That's it. So it's still wrong lar. 😞 Then she continued
that in future no need to ask anymore.. i'm guessing i know why she told me not to..

And yes, Chenonceau... the school guard is very important person... help guard the fort and our children.

        So..... :scared:

School guards are humans and should be treated with respect. They protect our precious children.

The school guard also reflects the school culture. There are nice school guards and nasty ones. By the school guard, we know how the school runs. Seriously!

This morning, the school guard told me not to drive in because the school was too crowded. I looked inside: only 1 car. I smiled at him, pretending didn’t hear, blur blur drive in. He also smiled and just waved. Funny guy.

                      Agree.

I'm on 1st name basis with guards and most school staff.
Can tell they do make extra effort to help look out for my children. πŸ˜‰
The guards have my personal phone number and also allow children to make
quick calls to parents in case parents are late or if anything crops up. They went
out of their way especially when i was preggie then. There were times i would
ask my DD1 to walk out to the bus stop cos i was too tired to climb up to the
school. Guard on duty would ring me and ask if this was true before releasing
her out of the gate on her own, since i usually personally receive her at the
gate. πŸ˜„ That's what i call a good initiative and definitely an alert guard. :salute:
They wouldn't allow her to go out on her own unless if they are certain.

                        Hi lostbunny,

Thanks for sharing this link here. It is well-written and most importantly, it reflects many concerns/issues of our present education system.

                        Dear KSP parents,

Please read Monica's article and if you think that it reflects your concerns, please support her!

Using Monica's words in her facebook comments \"Hi everyone, thanks for the support, I'm overwhelmed by your response! I have emailed the letter both to HSK and Lawrence Wong, the MOS. However, I suspect one letter is not going to make much impact. I've emailed MOE in the past and not gotten any headway. If you do feel as strongly as I do, I encourage you to voice your concerns to them. Collectively, I believe we can be agents of change. Blessings!\"

It is not the first time I have read that these issues have been raised to MOE before but did they manage to address the issues? I have also mentioned in my earlier post that MOE is already aware of certain issues when our ex Education Minister Dr Ng took over (refer link below) but it seems that the issues are getting worse (instead of better) over the last 3 years from what Monica mentioned \"What is the point of this? The age gap between my two children is only three years and yet I can see that what my younger child has to learn at his age is markedly more difficult than what his sister had to know. \"

                        http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=21969&start=480

I am not sure how many voices are needed before our new Education Minister will make it his priority to address these issues ... to understand the real issues and tackle them. It will be very sad if 2 or 3 years from now ... we are still in the same situation despite so many efforts to reflect them to MOE.

Let's work together to help the kids!
