from what i know, u hv to cancel ur application with X sch first before u go on with the application for Y sch. cant be done on the same day as the registration dates for the phrases are different.


u hv to cancel with X sch during the registration period for phrase 2A2, then wait for phrase 2C for registration with Y sch.

then let's say what if your first choice is under phase 2C but you have a privilege to register at Phase 2A?? DO you register at phase 2A first and then try phase 2C for your first choice school?? but then you say have to cancel the first choice then can register for the next scho... then how you know if you could get into the first choice if you cancel earlier regn???

You register with the school which your child qualifies under P2A first.

Then, come P2C, you monitor the situation, and on the last day, if you decide to try for P2C, you must withdraw your application with the school that you applied at P2A first before you are allowed to apply with your first choice school in P2C.

If you register for one school at Phase 2A and decide you want to try out for another school at Phase 2C, what you need to do is BEFORE you apply for the school at Phase 2C, you withdraw from the first school you applied for at 2A. You can do this at any time, up to the minutes before you submit your second school at 2C. The programme will only allow you to hold one spot in the system at any time. So only if you give up your 2A spot can you register your 2C spot.

So if you give up 2A and register for 2C only to find out that you didn't get 2C, you'll be out of both schools.

trying to ask for some views here… the sch for P2a is quite far from my place while sch for P2c is just 200m away…both schs background are quite on path to me, P2C is a hot school… if u were me, what will u do?

I would do what I think you're intending to do. Register at the school in 2A first. Then monitor the situation at the hotter school in 2C. If you're confident that you will be able to successfully register your kid in the second school without balloting, withdraw from the school at 2A and register at 2C. Bear in mind that a number of parents will probably have the same idea as you so there'll be an influx of registrations coming in at the last minute for Phase 2C. So you might end up with a balloting situation in the last few minutes.

haiz.. then i guess putting my kid is the nearby sch is more diffcult than striking 4D liao..... i got no problem with the sch which we are at P2A, just that the distance is far... worry it may 'waste' her time and energy.

can share how to monitor the situation at the hotter school in 2C? call the school to ask? how to ensure the information is realiable? what factors can make me confident that that the second school dun need balloting? once i withdraw school at phase 2A, the system will update online? how to withdraw? sorry i hope i am not asking some stupid questions here...

What to do? All parents want to get their kids into the school that's popular and near their homes. Maybe this is your time to strike 4D?
