Good academic subject teachers are harder to come by. Think ICT staff no problem lah, can easily find a good replacement (I am from ICT line too). Also, believe no real direct impact to students, unlike a subject head.

the top 44 students from P2 results are in 3A now, and the next 40-44 in 3B etc.
the best would be A and B.
The next reshuffling would be in P5 based on P4 results. But its still possible that they reshuffle in P3 if you really do very badly by SA2. You would be move from A to the back class.

The class size is 44? So big? I heard they cut down to 8 classes instead of 10 in P1/P2, so should be around 38 per class right?

Interesting. Nan Chiau is one of pilot schools for the online registration for P1 Phase 2C/2C Sup. Will be good if extended to earlier phases too for parents’ convenience.

Online Registration for Eight Pilot Primary Schools

This year, MOE has introduced a new Primary One Internet System (P1-IS) as a pilot in eight Primary Schools. Parents registering their child for the eight pilot schools in these two phases will have an alternate channel created for their convenience to register their child. For details on online registration, please refer to the P1-IS Step-by-Step Guide (.pdf (2.2mb)).

                  The eight schools are:

                  1.Anchor Green Primary School
                  2.Beacon Primary School
                  3.Canberra Primary School
                  4.Edgefield Primary School
                  5.Endeavour Primary School
                  6.Mee Toh School
                  7.Nan Chiau Primary School
                  8.North Vista Primary School

Yes, average of 40 students in a class. I believe the not so good classes has lesser students.
                    from P3 onwards , down from 10 to 8.
u have some particular concern or issues in mind?

More individual attention is required for the students as they progress to upper primary, yet the class size is getting bigger, leaving each student even less attention. Also, with the so called \"elite\" classess, attention and resources will be on them and the not-so-good classess will become even worst in terms of academic performance. This leads to a win-lose situation and is due largely to the elite system in S'pore.

My understanding with my son’s last year P2 teacher is P3A to P3C are the better ones whereas P3D to P3H are balloted , there is no so called not so bright class.

Actually from the SA1 result, you can roughly figure out how your child stands from the level position. One of the feedback I have given to the teacher is to provide parents with a max, min, average scores for each subjects. Now I can only know his class average score rather than his level average scores.
