After reading Catherine Lim's article on LKY, read Joan Hon's response to her article. All very interesting read.

        pandan:

Well, I quote from limlim the above, \"the mother's identitiy is still an unknown and a machine operator can operate a $100mil equipment isn't it ?\"

There is no stopping anyone to purposely cast doubt on such issue. Untruth spread like fire in this new age. Sad.
Please look at things in context and the order which it happens. My comment is BEFORE the post you quoted (which states that he has OPENLY denied the r/s).

When I made that post, no one in the thread has mentioned that he EXPLICITLY denied any relation to LKY.

And from the start, I have NEVER made any remarks which suggests that he indeed have a r/s, I believe.

I just commented that we should not dismiss the possibility of a r/s without concrete or credible evidence.

Just like we should not anyhow believe what the article said about the r/s w/o REAL evidence. I did comment that the article suggesting the r/s lacked credibility somewhere in the thread.

If PM got to come out and talk each time his MPs say things, he'll be very busy. Though privately, I hope he'll tell them to 'tiam tiam a bit'.
            :rotflmao: ya, indeed true.....
esp with a new MP ard like TPL. šŸ˜‰

I don't agree with this. I feel that the more they say, the better.

So that the electoral can open their eye big big and judge carefully the people that they have put in power.

Look at these pple.. talk a lot outside.. but when in parliament just keep quiet.

Pple like LTK and Sylvia Lim.. you don't heard them a lot in the news commenting on these and that right.. but in parliament they really speak up.

Ya, quoting Joan Hon's words, \"How to disagree without being disagreeable?\"
                  Sigh..

I guess the salary cut will be 10% ONLY :skeptical:

even with 50% reduction, they are still drawing millions of $$$
and their benchmarking can only to private sector,
NOT to those head politicians overseas. (of course they refuse to make comparsions with those).

i reckon the end results is more like window dressing,
to entertain and pacify we, Singaporeans. šŸ˜‰

Here's the link to CCS' statement: http://sg.news.yahoo.com/blogs/what-is-buzzing/mg-chan-chun-sing-m-not-related-lee-075225039.html

As for TPL, she posted it on her Facebook wall. You can check it out.

But my humble opinion is that even with links or official statements, pple who are prejudiced against them will still choose to believe the rumours.

CCS has openly denied he is related to LKY; TPL has also openly declared that she has not been promoted at E&Y.

Did they? any links or official statement?
