I have based on below 3 factors to get the 3 primary school

      reputation
      easiness to go in
      distance from my house

      and from my understanding,

Gongshang - most reputed and most difficult to go in (try to go in thru PV)
Yu Neng - less well known and easier to go in but furthest away from my house (try to go in thru PV)
ChangKiat - least well known but closest to my house

So simple, quickly get into PV of Gongshan & Yu Neng. WHen you do PV you can get a feel of what is the school & help in your evaluation later.

In fact, it’s not so easy to get in Gong Shang this year even I finished the 40hours PV cos I stay outside 1KM of the school and my another concern is even I can luckily be accepted by Gongsheng which is the best amongst the three, since my son is not really performing good according to all his teachers now, should it be better for him to get in a moderate school which is closer to our house so he can have more time to rest and study?

You know your son best. What is his limit? What are his strengths?

Academic result is not everything. You have to evaluate which type of environment is he more suited for.

In that case, the best is do evaluate based on distance. The nearer the better where can walk & save $$ on tranposrt.

I still think you need to go visit the school, or talk to parents with kids in the school and evaluate the environment before you decide on which school for your kid. Sometimes a neighbourhood school may not be a bad choice if it suits your kid, and the teachers give time and space for the kid to mature and grow. Why don't you start by finding out about the 3 schools - ask your neighbours with kids in the nearby school, find out about the other 2 by either PV or looking thru' the networking thread, etc.

I am looking for the best primary schools in Singapore near to Tampinese area for my kids for Primary 1. The school needs to be good in over all development of the children with good emphasis on studies as well

Can second language be omitted from the Primary section itself. Our mother tongue is neither Tamil nor malay or chinese. So whats the best option… Can they learn Hindi? Is there any school with second language Hindi?

Second language is compulsory. I'm not sure if Hindi is offered but I don't think so. In such cases the parents sometimes apply to have their kids study Chinese or Malay as second lang.
