Agreed with you, Happy MaMa..

Now, i tell my children about this too.

In our olden days, whatever our parents told us, we believe, but now, our kids will say: \"Are you sure or not?\"

Oh you still tell this to your kids? I didn't. Hmm, maybe I should, so that DD will finish her food on the plate. πŸ˜‰

Haha ... i told my kids too but they said they dont believe, :boogie: anyway, now got IPL, Lazer treatment and such to counter the poke-marks, so olden time sayings only work on us not them. 🀷
Well mine will argue and ask for scientific prove or brush me off with : Nah, mama ...u and your bunch of old mother's tales...' 🀷

If Singapore Pools, then \"Wong Can Win\"
If Tung Lok, then \"Wong Can Wok\"
If Mediacorp, then \"Wong Can Wayang\"
If gahmen, then \"Wong Cannot Wrong\"

Happy Mama:
My mum used to tell me to finish every grain of rice on my plate... Saying that if I want my future hubby to look handsome and have a very smooth complexion, I had to finish my food. If I don't finish my food, my future husband will have pock-marked face.

I listened to her and finished every grain on my plate. True enough DH's complexion is perfect and he looks good. πŸ˜„

Anyone remembered this old saying?
Yes, I still tell my kids that.

I did not always finish, so my DH's complxion is just ok :rotflmao:

I Mean, To Finish Off Every Grain on his Plate ....
