Nathan did say he didn’t want to run for 3rd term. He is already 87 yrs old. Actually he didn’t want to continue 2nd term but there was no competition.
I would prefer George replaces TPL in Mac Pherson (MP GRC) than he runs for Presidency. He rebutted Sylvia Lim at the rally that it was showing disrespect to Parliamentary / Elections Dept when she said if he lose, he can run for Presidency. He also said his temperament is not suitable after he lost at the polls, why now U-turn? If he runs for it, it is highly probable that he is asked by GCT who said GY was too important to lose.
Tan Kin Lian also said he has no intention unless he can get a certain votes/petition for his running.
Tan Cheng Bock is a neutral guy. He had several brushes at Parliament as claimed by him. -
I think GY is considering it because PAP asked him to do so. If not, why the change of mind?

$4.5 mil for being in the cage. why not? His $3 mil as a foreign minister + $15K MP allowance already gone with the wind.

Likely to be in August, but exact date don't know. I've never voted for a Spore president in my life so far, so not sure if it's gonna be like the GE.

Rite now, my view is that GY initially said he's not running for EP.. if now U-turn, could be bcoz someone asked him to.. in that case, will he still be \"effective\"?
