      Hi mummies,

      New to this thread.
Will be registering my son for P1 this year.
I would like to check if there is any before/after school care in Pei Hwa compound itself.
      Pls advice.
      Appreciate your help.
      thanks.

This thread is super long in comparison to other schs' threads simply becos we talk abt non-sch topics too. No need to feel \"scared\".

Yes, the latest hot topic was the rise, and rise, of Toh Yi HDB property prices.

Yeah Thanks to Bro Mark for Alerting us on the Topics ....

          Scary:
If my boy can get into PH, think the teachers will have a headache. He is very talkative till I want to scotch-tape his mouth. He has been asking a lot of questions in his pre-school and he is definitely not the \"normal\" PH student.

Our boys can shake hands. I did put a scotch-tape on his mouth once. Now he has progressed to blabbing sounds.

I'm not sure what's the purpose of your post, but I don't want to double guess you.

So, just like to reply that like most parents at KSP, we at PH just wish to do our best for our child(ren). In that sense, while we certainly wish that past year graduates continue to do well in their studies, it really is inconsequential (as far as our philosophy regarding our children upbringing is concerned) if there is one T - or even if there're many Ts - who's not impressed with some PH ex-students.

So to answer your qn whether the 'stress' is worth it, while PH can certainly be stressful academically, personally I don't see it as being worth it or not. I just continue to do what I think is best for my kid.

I think the more pertinent issue here is, for those weaknesses that your friend spotted in those students (who didn't impressed), was your friend able to help those kids realise their areas for improvement and help them become better students?
                  :goodpost:

My girl loves her school and enjoys learning in PH. That is what matters most to me. Reasonable degree of stress spurs her on. Besides the stress, there is fun element in the process of learning. πŸ˜„

With due respect to most teachers, I am more concern with how educators can focus on motivating the kids to improve their abilities and be better students. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰
