These things are pretty state of the art. Can type in black and red ink some more. Top half of the ribbon is black. Bottom half is red. When ribbon reaches the end, the mechanism triggers the reversal of the roller without requiring manual changing of ribbons. Everything done with levers. No need to be near power socket.

Tell me, isn't that cooler than your iPad? Maybe we should put one up for Auction
