Chairman will need to endorse and inform PA to process your membership. In some RC/NC, the decision will have to clear the exec committee and minuted during RC's meeting. In any case, RC should inform you before you join that actually joining in Nov is actually quite late. Hence I always say an interview is important to ensure expectations on both parties are made known. Just this week, I managed to push 2 observers who joined last Oct/Nov to be confirmed EM when they approached me (their kids also P1 in 2013), hopefully their official appt date is before 30 Jun 2011.

PA confirmation date

Yep - just checked with PA, they advised the date is based on their confirmation date. Typically, one to two week after receipt of recommendation letter.

My child will go to primary school 2012, next year. But my EM just appointed 2 months ago. Mean I join to the RC not over 1 year. I ask PA assist me to get form for primary register under EM, also our chairman support me. But I got rejected! I go to meet MP today, hope he can helps me, but I didn’t mention I got rejected from PA, because I don’t know I should tell him this or not?


I want to know if MP helps me to write a letter got Power or not? Or anyone knows, if be a member got appointed just 2 months still got chance to let my child go to the school nearby me safely?

So how is the session with your MP today?

How long have you been an observer prior to the formal appointment?

MP wrote a letter for me need me wait the letter reply for 2 weeks.


I think about 3-4 months from observe to appointment.
