Presidential Election 2011

As the PE is approaching, maybe KSP could also have a campaign to vote for \"The Most Vocal Forummer\"; \"The Most Inspiring Blogger\"; \"The Most Eloquent Forummer\"; \"The Most Informative Blogger\" etc etc. :rahrah:
As for prizes, it's Chiefkiasu's call. Or maybe can give KS points? The most impt thing is to have fun and also exercise our \"rights\" as KSP members. How does that sound? anyone game?
Erm...chief, my little suggestion feasible or not?
Hmm...just realise this is my 400th post! :dancing: -

I have a lot of respect for Tony Tan when he made the decision, as Education Minister, to reverse the graduate mothers' scheme. That was probably the first time the government reverse its policy. But I got really put off by what he said to the student leaders who met him, also as Education Minister, regarding the university fee increase. He was not only not receptive to inputs, he was haughty. But that's very much a hallmark of the older generation of leaders, not just in politics but in business and other areas as well.I was pleasantly surprised to read that Mr Tony Tan MAY be running for president. But also a bit suspicious why suddenly \"everybody\" seems to be coming out to run for president.
Mr GY suddenly changed his mind get his young friends to collect the forms for him.
So now:
1) TCB
2) TKL
3) GY
4) TT
5) ??
Without TT, I would vote for GY. With TT, I would vote for TT.
Waddo'uall..think?
Both have the credentials to be President. Tony Tan is older and more respectable, to some extent because he is less accessible to the public. George Yeo is a lot more approachable and a lot more receptive to ideas and feedback. He is like 1 of us, and hence didn't have that air of respectability. Tony Tan is better in finances while George Yeo is better in the international stage.
A bit of a dilemma to have to choose between the 2. -
Any idea when is the election?

Any idea when is the election?
maybe around mid-august? No idea until they formally make announcement. -
read in the papers that it could be after national day?
-
Wonder will there be a "show" on the candidates, ask them what can they contribute if elected?

I thought GY a tard too young for the presidential role lor. TT seems more fitting for the role. Perhaps because of his silver hair?
I thought our President should have the \"weight\" and \"air\" to carry off as a President. The rest, like what I said, dunno what else he would be doing (genuinely confused)......
