      Hi plum-cake,

I think most of us here have sufficient assessment for the rest of the year πŸ˜‰

As for PC shows, do be careful and watch out for prices.
These shows are actually the lot of 'Sim Lim' vendors grouped together.
Hope to see you more often here. Enjoy the holidays. :boogie:

        Hi plum-cake,

Have you bought your PC yet ? I sure hope to 'see' you here more often. We are partners where assessment books are concerned
Hubby went to PC show yesterday and he couldn't take the crowd.

Which warehouse sale did you go to ? Where is it pls ?
Let me know if there is one next year ok ? πŸ˜‰
I've stopped buying assessment books this year in the meantime...really need to control. That sms from Popular regarding sale at Bras Basah doesn't entice me. Trying to finish up the P1 assessment books now. Just finished the Home Study English this morn :rahrah: :rahrah:

September 21 enterprise Ltd. in Blk 13 Toa Payoh Lorong 8. they have a small, old version, but new books sale as well as readers. They have a lot of teaching manipulatives. counters, scales, wipe clean boards, stamps lots of educational flashcards to games etc etc... 4 yrs back I went there to buy Jolly phonics stuff... but this time they have a huge collection. but less work books. only MC books are available, not many. I bought english Text Types by Oxford essential skills. I am teaching her the \"writing\".

Thats great... keep up the good work. :snuggles:

                Hi Champion,

Allow me to continue the chat on \"English Assessment\" here.
I feel that P1/2 Eng are about the same. For my son in P5, I'll switch to P6 after the scare :nailbite: of SA1 exam. Now trying to finish up (asap) the P5 Dolphin Editing, Punctuation & Synthesis as well as Grammar b4 school reopens. However, all of us had our share of fun and should be charged up for Term 3 πŸ™ πŸ™

For P5, I would recommend parents to start on P6 assessement from Term 2 onwards. Comprehension & Synthesis can be rather challenging and there is a steep learning curve.

:offtopic: We went to Universal Studios yesterday...It was really fun and encouraged my son to work hard for SA2, so that we can go there again...perhaps book a hotel room for 2 days of fun.

                  Sleepy,

can share with us what are the grammar books you are using? I am still :frustrated: that DD1 P3 is on the stellar programme with no textbook so at times dare not buy too many EL assessment books. πŸ‘… am I :offtopic: lioa?? Should discuss this over at the EL assessment books thread.... :imsorry: got carried away......
Initially I bought p1 & p2 grammar assessment books for dd, then I realised actually not much difference, so I skip all the way to p6 grammar. She is using Practice makes Perfect by EPH. Purple book cover

I hope you and family had a great time at USS :hi5: ..We stayed at Festive Hotel last Sept and enjoyed the stay there very much.

:offtopic: I was supposed to meet a dear friend for afternoon Tea but run late but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise! She has gone to Popular Bookstore while waiting for me and came out with a few assessment books! Good for me - I did not step into the bookstore! But she showed me what she has bought and immediately I started browsing the following 2 books:-

1)The Essential Parents' Guide to Primary Maths: Strategies for Solving Challenging Maths Problems by Marshall Cavendish Education.
                    http://resource.marshallcavendish.com/mcdoc/(S(3msgi355psdfacf5xq52g2v3))/console/DocumentDetail.aspx?viewType=&id=48375

I was like :yikes: :scared: - why didn't I know of these 2 books? :stompfeet: :stompfeet:

My dear friend seemed to know what I was thinking, offered to loan it to me for reading! :snuggles: ...I am still half-way thru reading so after I done with them, shall share with you all then. :grphug:

:imsorry: - somehow was unable to upload the 2 pics :scratchhead: ......
