i was told their raya is coming, now coming to fasting months.. Oh mine.. im gonna have problem like that..

Oh wait! Do the indon maids fast?? My prev indon maid is Christian, so no issues on pork and fasting. Can anyone advise? Will they have energy to work if they fast?? Also, they tend to have bad breath when fasting.... any advise pls??? :skeptical:

          Hi SMH_FOREST,

my previous indo maids were muslims. we told them no fasting, in case they faint becos they are working. I understand they can make it up when they go back to their country. So far no issues, and we try to keep such news away from them so it’s not so in their face.

Ehhhh.... I am almost like you... except for the TV, A/C, Phone... and that I don't speak Malay!! I do however supply a fan for the maid... But for my old maid, when we travel and leave her at home, we told her she can watch tv if she wants...

Think... the attitude of new maids now is just wrong... like this one at my hse now... dont like given instructions.. dont like learning english... dont like eating foods tt she dun like... dont like to be told off if she does something wrong... my 2.5yo yday had an incident with her, he threw the train and it hit her... she complained to me using hand signs n when i told my boy to say sorry to her, her face was ALL BLACK... :slapshead: this is ultimate sign to me that she HAS TO GO!

2.5y/o…what does she expect? Gosh, guess I’m lucky my maids are so far quite forgiving of my kids. This kind of person I don’t think should take care of anyone (old or young) - sure come out in newspapers for abusing their charge.

Anyway, when you get rid of her, tell her to go back Indo to work. If she dunwant to learn english, I seriously don’t know what she’s here for.

May Not be So Suitable for Working in Family with Small Kids ....

Exactly! I told my agent very clearly she has to go... and told her, i am now worried to leave my boy with her! This is only if my hub is out, and I need to either go to the toilet or shower... but still... sigh... :scared:

                      hi smh_forest,

If it’s only for that few min, don’t worry lah. I don’t think she’s that much of a risk (yet). But if she’s left alone with a lively child for days and hours…I really cannot say.

not just young kids, I think old pp will be in danger from her also.

good that you caught on early.

My take about her is... she is probably those quite spoilt kinda person.. tats why cannot accept ppl telling her off when she do wrongly... I think she is not suitable to work as a maid... seriously!! :yikes:
