      HappyAvon:
We bought the 3days 2 nite tropical package which included 2 nites stay in one of the hotel in RWS plus 2 one day pass to USS and 2 Cat 5 Voyage De La Vie show tickets. We have to buy extra ticket for my child for USS and the show. Paid around $700.00 in total.

Since the last time we were staying in the Festive hotel, so this time round, we tried out Hotel Michael... We checked in on last Saturday and watched the show on the same nite....a very good and entertaining show...My 6 yo girl was enjoying so much as well.. Then on a Sunday morning, we headed to USS and had a good 5 hours fun. Went back to hotel for a rest...girl was tired and took a good nap...After dinner, we went back to USS...In all, we had a great family time. 😄
Hi, between Festive Hotel & Hotel Michael, which do you prefer?
I stayed in Hotel Michael and was told Festive Hotel is more suitable for families. But with 2 kids, I'm so happy with Hotel Michael's 2 beds (between SS & Q) cos' both myself n DH pretty big size, so a lot of hotels' bed is small for us even tho we sleep with a child each.

So should be more expensive than Hotel Michael?

Hi I’m not sure abt the rack price…cos normally we make use of their promo package if we wanted to go there for a short break…the recent package I booked can choose hotel festive, hotel michael… But since we had already experienced hotel festive, hubby suggested to try out hotel Michael…

Definitely choose a weekday! I went the last time round and missed the Battlestar galactica ride as it was under maintenance. 😞

Battlestar Galactica rocks! You must go again to try it. We were lucky when we went in Feb. They were doing technical testing then. No queue at all. Went 3 times each on the red and blue rides.

We are at the RWS this weekend. Stayed at the Festive Hotel. Went to USS on Sat. The weather this weekend is unusually kind. We are so lucky. At the USS, the whole day was overcast, no hot blazing sun and no rain. It was humid but on the whole, comfortable.

USS was nice. The only thing dreadful is the long queue. Fortunately the kids were very specific about what they want to experience so they got to do all the rides and show that wanted.

We only tried these and our ratings...
                  Water world - *****
Hollywood Lights CAmera aCtion - *****
                  Shrek 4D - ***
                  Madagascar - *
Battlestar Human and Cyclone - *****
                  Mummy aDventure- *****
                  Jurrssic Park water ride- ***
                  9pm pyrotechnic fireworks display ****

Thought of extending 1 more day at the USS but the kids prefer to go to the LUGE. We bought 20 rides for them. They love it very much, enjoy overtaking other people going down the winding slope.

On the whole, a fun but expensive trip. Saw a monk in USS. Must be his day off or annual holiday treat

                    Hi HappyAvon,
thanks for the info. next time will try Festive Hotel & will try to book earlier.
We were late this round, grab which ever available package just a week before.....think for 3D2N + 2 adult + 2 child USS 1-day, we paid ~$1K. Think could have saved ~$200 if we had booked earlier.

Technical testing? And you went 3 times? Weren't you afraid to be a test dummy? Ya, will try again after hearing my friend describe his experiences with me 🙂

Went for the 2D1N package. Stayed with the Festive Hotel, kids love the loft bed. But I found the air in the room too dusty and the king size bed too soft but it fit 2 adult and 1 baby  . I did ask for baby cot but bb had habit of nursing at night, so thought easier to sleep together. I had to ask room service to clean the balcony during check-in becos floor so dirty with dust and hair :yikes:

Enjoy our time at USS. DS went in for free becos his bday in Sep and we went on Jun 😉 So save money on his tix. We bought along his birth cert in case they check but they were ok to trust us.

We went there on Mon, crowd not too bad till around 2-3pm, then we went back to hotel and rest and go back at about 5pm.

We brought 3 kids (one 10 mo) so we did not manage to go on all the rides and shows (too tiring for us) but we had fun. The staff at USS were great and very helpful.

The place is very orderly, there's queue even to take photo with characters but the kids were not too keen.

The kids took most of the rides. We missed two shows because of timing but we rather not stressed ourselves too much with 3 young kids.

For those going, pls pls skip the Donkey Live show, waste of time.

We took the adult ones after 5pm, less queue time on most except for the very very popular.

Will go again when bb is near 4yos  Think this is ok age to take most of the rides except for the monster roller coaster rides, the splash ride and the return of the mummy ride.

Now that I have 3 kids, I also dare not take the 2 monster roller coaster rides :rotflmao:
