WCW:
Interesting info from jedamum and augmum

haha WCW,
I was obsessed for a while after my dh 'accidentally' let his FS-trained colleague read our floor plan to our new unit. we were told not an ideal unit, so i read up to see what needs to be done (didn't want to engage her to audit cos we were not prepared to carry out drastic measures). gain quite some info from popular fs website/forum and went to library to read some books too. some writings do contradict one another, but base line is that if your unit's external landscape is good (no poison arrows etc, face junction etc), facing compatible to head of the house's direction, no missing corners, 'big-picture'-wise, your unit has already score good points. since we already lose point on that, we just based on whatever gives us a peace of mind and bear in mind that 'First Fate, Second Luck, Third FS....'

i had read quite a few of lilian too's books too, very informative,
but her website FS items are highly priced. (saw similar ones elsewhere) -

jedamum:
yes, these are the \"basics requirements in FS\" for hse hunting....
but base line is that if your unit's external landscape is good (no poison arrows etc, face junction etc), facing compatible to head of the house's direction, no missing corners, 'big-picture'-wise, your unit has already score good points.
i had given up a hse which happened to have a weird shape floor plan even though we liked the hse very much.
avoid hse facing T-junction, cross roads, poison arrows, dead-end roads etc...... -
