25hourmaid:
Thai Rainbow Mangoes going at 5 for $2.95 from Giant. They are really fragant and sweet. Not sure how long the promotion will last. You won't want to know how many bags this mango addict bought yesterday!
Thanks for sharing, Maid. Do you happen to know when the last day of offer is?

Sorry, not sure. Didn't take note of the notice as I as busy picking the ripes ones!
And I had to work fast as the ripes ones disappear as soon as they are replenished! I was lucky, the man was replenishing them as I was choosing! :dancing:

Oh… I saw loads of mangoes… but I don’t know how to choose… those I thought looked ripe, will end up having ‘overripe’ centers… those a little green, end up not ripening evenly… any tips? I’m terrible at choosing fruits… so my kids only eat grapes and durian… the rest of the fruits they eat in childcare…

Wow, where do you see the loads of mangoes?
I usually choose 2 different sets of mangoes. The first would be the ripe ones which I want to eat the same day or the next day.
Then I'll choose some semi ripe ones so that I can keep and eat them 3-4 days later.

I saw them at cold storage as well as my nearby market. How do u know that they r ripe? The ones at cold storage were round w red n orange hues. Some were big n long n yellow. Does a dark yellow mean that its ripe?
