I think my daughter doesn't need to wait till P3 in IJ to experience this. IJ TP has proven that in the first review at P1

Do you find that IJ standard is not the norm ? The expectation is pretty high.
Wonder if you can give me your daughter's P6 exam papers when she finishes her PSLE...website doesn't have IJ TP papers. I know EL is getting tougher. My neighbour's son in P6 told me his class flunked Comprehension Cloze (SA1) and I'm worried for my son now

Abt the compre cloze, Do u mean Open Ended compre? coz the entire class flunking compre cloze not very realistic leh... -

It didn’t occur to me that you’re a student in IJ TP. You must be feeling the stress now. Do remember to take short breaks and drink lots of water.
I have a son in P5 this year. It’s really difficult this year.
Neighbour’s son (in P6) said comprehension cloze is tough…I agree with that. Will start son on P6 Cloze assessment book when school reopens…enough of heart attacks since CA1. -

The first hurdle or depth at P3 was shocking...fortunately, we managed to recover. Since the beginning of this year, I've yet to recover from the shock of seeing son's results drop so badly for Eng, Chinese and Math (he flunked twice, CA1/SA1). Can you advise any way to improve ?

UNFORTUNATELY, my son's teachers are not very forthcoming with advice. I've had near-clashes with his form teacher :mad:
Just before his CA1, I asked her what will be tested for Science...she didn't reply me. So I asked again and got a sickening reply from her. Apparently, I am not the only parent who got sh!@ from her. My son told me NEVER to ask her anything again. -

Aiyo, so unreasonable. Even though I haven't encountered anyone like that, sometimes I really resent schoolteachers for that. :mad: There's totally, TOTALLY nothing wrong with asking those questions. You should report this to the school principal. :stompfeet: -
