      taurbear:
      Anyone can help me to evaluate between Anderson and Teck Ghee in ang mo kio. My concern is more on the holistic area such as character building and the mannerism culture

      taurbear,
      you should be able to find some info here;

        Read the comments provided by parents from both schools...they should be able to provide better insights in those schools you're interested in.

              You might be too late already.

              It’s best you call the 3 schools immediately to find out if application is still open.

                    Hi everyone

                    So here’s the scoop: I am a returning Singaporean with 3 sons - 8, 6 and 5 years old.

                    I have tried to register my oldest in a school near where we live (Lorong Chuan/Serangoon) - first 2 choices were Yangzheng Pri and St Gabriel’s, but neither have vacancies at this moment. My sons have been in the Canadian school systems and the standards are quite different. We are prepared for him to be in P 1 rather than P 2. MOE has told us there are no vacancies in any of the schools in Bishan, Hougang, Sreangoon, AMK and Toa Payoh!

                    I enrolled the 6 year old in K-1 as I did not think he would be ready for P1 in 6 months (he does not speak Mandarin at all). Today, the school calls to tell me that he is on par with the K-2 children and recommends I have him in K-2 and to register him for Pri 1 this month.

                    I live within 1 km of each school. What would your advice be for registration? Yangzheng Pri School or St. Gabriel’s given their background and recent move from Canada? Yangzheng’s "PSLE scores" are better than St. Gabriel’s but there is no affiliation to Sec. schools that I know of.

                    Does anyone have any input for my situation or have experience with the 2 schools?

                    Thank you so much!

                      st. hilda's in terms of academic. depends on what you are looking for. i guess you are looking for mission schools.
