I hv checked with my friend whose kids are in upper Pri. She said no streaming, only d GEP test in p3.

From MOE website, there is this subject based Banding in p5 & 6. So guess this will apply to all sch. http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/primary/files/subject-based-banding.pdf

U can call d school to check.

PV. Check out math corner duty. Easy to do n can complete d 40 hrs fast, n can choose yr days. Pretty flexible. Everytime can do 3 hrs. Monitor d no of hrs clocked in yourself n call d school to check. That's my experience in PV.

Actually ''althea_baby", you do not need to join the alumni to qualify as you can register under Phase 2A2, child whose parent had studied in the school. I enrolled my elder gal (she’s in P2 now) this way.

I just got rejected by TPS as a parent volunteer 😞

By the way, I stay between 1 - 2 km of the sch. Any chance?

                Hi,

We've done our PV for a little over 40hours (hope it will not affect our chance at phase 2B) and will be registering our son at Temasek Primary coming July 2011. Any parents out there intending to reg their kid for P1 in 2012?

I m just wondering if there'll be any notices informing parents to register or we just go with the necessary documents in the phase we think we are qualified in?

Hope to hear adv from experience parents here. 🙂

                Thanks.

Hi, my son is in P1 and was recently bullied in school. Both his forehead and legs were injured when we picked him up from school.

Initially he was reluctant to say what happened. Later he told us that a boy has asked him for money, and when my son refused, the boy pushed my son to the floor. Apparently it was a hard push as my son head got bang to the floor and injured his forehead from the push. According to my son, this boy has been asking money from other students as well.

Did any of your kids (esp in P1) has similiar experience?

                        Hi,
Which class is he in ? My son got bullied oso by students like having his wallet thrown into drain & water bottles get kicked during recess time.
My son has Adhd...& sometimes got abused by teachers too. Tot of transfer him out as the teachers there not train in special needs.
