Shenzhen : how much time to spend there?

Any parents can advise me on that??

for shopping and eating, a day trip from HK is enough

for sightseeing eg the window on the world, plus shopping and eating, one day still enough but will return to HK hotel late at night via MTR or bus

for golfing, stay in the hotel on golf course (Missions Hill Golf Resort)

Thanks for the info. So actually we can take MTR to Shenzhen fr HKG? may I know how long is the distance?

I had ever taken the MTR from HK to Shenzhen…it was a VERY VERY long ride (more than 1 hour). There is the usual checkpoint and there is another checkpoint (different MTR stations). I went to the other one and it was very clean and nice. Within Shenzhen there is MTR service also.

Then when we went back, we went to the usual checkpoint and it was horrid. Old, overcrowded etc…never want to go back SZ again.

On budget airlines, remember to check in early or you may get bumped off the flight. Also, be prepared that your flight may be delayed. Somehow I’m very ‘lucky’, my budget flights always delay. Worst was Tiger air (to macau) - we were delayed for 3-4hours! Figured the delay time was equal to the flight time liao.

                  Hi,
My family just came back from HongKong, 2A2C. We took Tiger Airway to HK. Pleasant trip and the flight was on schedule. We came back by Jetstar from Hang Zhou, To me its seats are not as comfotable as Tigers, but also on schedule.
We spent 2 days at Disney land, stayed at Disney Hollywood, SGD220 a night. 2 day pass HK$398 for adult, HK$298 for kid. And one day at Ocean Park. Kids enjoyed a lot! We also went to a public library in HK as my kids wanted to read book there. Though it was a waste of time to do so, I persuaded myself to enjoy free PC and internet there.

Too cramp??

i have only one girl and she is not particularly very into rides and she wants to be accompanied on every rides/also won't be going for all rides so I don't think we need 2 days in Disneyland... do you think we should still stay in disney for a night?

HK Disney land is quite small, one day is enough. My kids swam at Disney Hollywood hotel, so wasted a lot of time. Some rides we took 3 to 4 times. Do not take its train at entrance as you may expect a very very long q. We did so on the first day and my kids got so tired and we went back to hotel to swim. You may just walk in and take it at other stops if you want.

                        Macau I did not go.
ShenZhen I stayed one day only. I took MTR from HK to ShenZhen. It is about 60 mins from Disney. I took MTR to DongChung and bought some LaoPo bing there, did not need to go out of station and continue from there to Shenzhen.
Window of World is just so so, kids did not enjoy much. As for shopping wise, I did not go anywhere. ShenZhen MRT is almost same as SG MRT, many stores out of each station, you will feel at home.
6D5N should be fine, provided 1 day in Macau. We spent 4 days at HK, one day at Shenzhen.
