huh...1 only..that is quite little..ngbrdad:
Not automatically but historical records shows high probability.
But can't be so many GEP students with SA1 ave above 80 per year right ?
Apparently DS's school only one this year.
So from 9 centre at most maybe 50 ?
So estimated tt the number of p6 gep boys is about 375. So 5% of boys is about 20, 10% of boys is about 40....20% is about 80...30% is about 120...
Got 30% so high meh ?
So far here the only one we knew who has above 80% is your DS. -
ya…I think those boys who have good performance during interview will still get a chance for CO.
-
Acs primary has quite a few boys with 80 percent and higher.

So are these boys from ACS primary GEP all applying to RI or ACSI ? -
ngbrdad:
I guess some are applying to Acs I and some to RI. Not sure which are their choice.r2010:

So the question does exist: how GEPers get recruited into CHS, SJI, SCGS, MGS when they can't get an offer in RI/HCI/NY/RGS and the DSA thingy is all over if they had not applied DSA to these schools? Via PSLE T-score ? and what if they don't meet the COP? Do MOE post them to these schools?
I know of a GEP student who wasn't successful in DSA and didn't do that well in her PSLE and ended up in a neighbourhood school. But she's very happy there now because she's shining there, topping her cohort instead of languishing in the background if she had gone to a top IP school.
So if your results aren't good enough you don't get posted to SCGS/MGS/SJI/CHS etc but it's not the end of the world.
You are correct! In many instances, better to shine in an ordinary school than be an also ran in a top IP school. Is only PSLE, the first stage only, really nothing to lose.
My opinion is at this early stage, for high achievers, better to be developed by another good school than to be a member of the base in a top school. -
I think I know why DS’s school the average for SAI is so low cos they add in social studies and divide by 5.
-
No wonder…tt makes a great diff esp if the SS result is not good…
-
Do not fret if your child couldn’t make it to top schools either thru dsa or centralised posting.
Is still early, ultimately is A-level/IB/Diploma results that really matter definately not PSLE hor! -

Then that is not fair right? Can't you re-calculate it yourself using 4 subjs during submission ? But wat if SS score is high? then submit using 5 subjs?
