      Hi Hquek,

Thanks for sharing the information, really appreciate it! Luckily hubby will be driving in Shanghai so will avoid the MRT.

      Cheers!
      Hi shawny17,

Is your hubby a resident in China? Because what I know is that they do not allow tourist to drive on their road. My dh would like to do a self drive in China, but know that it's impossible.

Really? Do they allow rental cars on most parts of the country or only the city?

Dh will be delighted to know coz we r planning to go Beijing, Chengdu & probably Chongqing this Oct.

that is very stressful, plus got to find parking etc

rather take a car that comes with driver, about Rmb 500 per day

i find it stressful crossing the road too. cars dont stop at traffic lights.

also a mad rush for taxi and i dont even know if these people rushing for the taxi is genuine rider :stompfeet:

to the main tourist attractions, it is easier to take the train. i was lucky to have a friend's driver to drive me whenever he is free too. but even riding in his car can be an adventure. 😓

huh? you still walk…I either brisk walk or run. Cannot believe that even when the green man is on, the motorists/cyclists will not give a damn.

When in cars, I usually think that if I were the one driving, I’ll probably be stuck in the jam hours later…CN drivers are amazing. They can overtake in the tightest of corners - jam or no jam.
