[Choa Chu Kang] Primary Schools

Dear Needy:
The line stops because most of the parents (likes baby2momma, honeybee, tri-mum, strenap etc) are going to do the registration by this afternoon. For me, busy with month end closing, so not really have time to chit chat. Don worry, we will come back again on Monday.
It is great to hear that KPS is not so bad, furthermore seem like it is a friendly school as no need to wear uniform for P1 & P2. I think wearing T Shirt is more comfortable.
BTW, do u know the latest no in SV? When is the P1 orientation in SV? -
Dear Honeybeel:
R u switching to DLS? how u get the latest news? u call? i intend to call DLS also, but my hubby keep saying \"so? what can u do with the no?\" i think also quite true lor, what can i do?? Let God lead my way

Anna Ng:
Stay put at YT in the end, after due consideration. Just wait for the lucky draw day. All the best to parents in the thread in the lucky draw date.Dear Honeybeel:

For those who have applied or planning to apply at DLS, a piece of good news. I have withdrawn my child from DLS (registered under 2A2) today at about 2.30pm. So, the no. of vacancies for 2C will increase by 1As at above figures.
YT = 22 will out via balloting
DLS = 17 will out via balloting
Unity = 30 will out via balloting
It is hard to choose between YT & DLS. Hopefully, not much \"switching\" between these 2 schools.
Good luck to those applying.
When I was there, saw on the whiteboard :
Within 1km > 119
Between 1 - 2km > 6
Outside 2km > 5 -

Thanks hor. Can u share with us the reason? really keen to know leh!

seems like most of the schools in this region exceed by 20-30 (seems to coincide with the cut in vacancy from last year). i.e. if the quota had remained as last yearβs, then most will not need to ballot. So, in other words, residents in this region are "penalised" due to the cut in quota this year. so was wondering, if there are any possibility that the schools could open up another class and make all happy? any one know of such precedence? also wondering why they need to keep everyone waiting for 11 days? (and give unsuccessful ones limited time to find the next school for P2CS)

The decision to pull out is purely based on distance as I stay in Sengkang and my parents both staying the the north/northeast are all strongly discouraging me to move to CCK. As I still need my mum to look after my infant, thought very hard before pulling the plug today (though very unwillingly). -
