Definitely. One of the most trying periods is when you're trying to train it as a puppy and when it steadfastly pees and poops all over your house despite your best efforts etc. It's not surprising that a lot of puppies are abandoned when they're about 8 -12 months because they're turning to adolescents and become more difficult to handle.jtoh:
In the meantime can go visit all the pet shops, SPCA etc to see if any cutie catches your eye.
Yes, it's a big commitment and responsibility, so we need to consider very carefully.... Lots of considerations including the our lifestyle and dog suitability etc.... Cannot just get one and after few months lose interest, change our minds or realise the dog is not suitable for us etc. Dogs are not commodities... -
The pic on the left is when he was just a pup of about 1+mth old. Sooo cute, like a cuddly teddy bear. Check out his paws in this pic. Big paws, signs that he will be a big dog which he is.

Like people, they go through a gangly period as well. Where they shed their puppy coat and grow their new coat and their limbs suddenly become much longer and they look disproportionate.

Oh Funz, he was such a cutie and yes, big paws. What a gorgeous coat. I love the coats of golden retrievers. Thatβs why I like the look of golden retrievers over labrador retrievers.

Funz, he sure is soooo adorable. Goldens between 1+ month to 5 months are most adorable, I mean the size and because they're exceptionally playful during this stage too... :love:
