      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_grading_in_Singapore

      discussion of Singapore's academic grading

For example, the GPA table for Raffles Girls' School and Raffles Institution (Secondary) is as below:

      Grade\tPercentage\tGrade Point
      A+\t80-100\t4.0
      A\t70-79\t3.6
      B+\t65-69\t3.2
      B\t60-64\t2.8
      C+\t55-59\t2.4
      C\t50-54\t2.0
      D\t45-49\t1.6
      E\t40-44\t1.2
      F\t<40\t0.8

The GPA table differs from school to school, with schools like Dunman high school excluding the grades \"C+\" and \"B+\"(meaning grades 50-59 is counted a C, vice-versa) However, in other secondary schools like Hwa Chong Institution , there is also a system called MSG (mean subject grade) which is similar to GPA that is used.

      Grade\tPercentage\tGrade Point
      A1\t75-100\t1
      A2\t70-74\t2
      B3\t65-69\t3
      B4\t60-64\t4
      C5\t55-59\t5
      C6\t50-54\t6
      D7\t45-49\t7
      E8\t40-44\t8
      F9\t<40\t9

For NJC, if compare with grades, it's quite similar.

        Above 84.5% is A+
        69.5% - 84.5% is A
        64.5% - 69.5% is B+
        59.5% - 64.5% is B

Anyway, I still prefer to look at the percentile.

              Hi phankao,

I've posed you a question on the NJC thread in relation to this discussion coz I think we're getting off topic here. 🙂 See you there.

Certified true copy is not only compiling hard copy to submit. Need to send to your pri sch admin with original copy to stamp and sign. Sometimes, admin will tell you quite some task to do, and to collect another day.

Just a note: better to send in more copies to sign in case of future need, else you need to run again. # of copies should be at least = to number of schools you apply via DSA.
Oh I've just Checked yesterday ....
                  For academic Results,
NYGH No Need Certified True Copy, but
RGS Specify Must be Certify True Copy ....
                  😉 😉

Hi Funx3, my DD applied for both NYGH and RGS too. So will share some infor with you.

For RGS- after submitting online form, need to print out cover page (on which you attach DD's photograph), personal statement (based on 1 of the 2 topics given, must be handwritten, not more than 500 words, and your DD need to sign at the end to say that it is her work), certified true copies of P5 and P6 results, and cheque. I think RGS is now in the process of doing GAT (my DD need not do GAT) so no news for us from RGS yet, although my friend's DD did her GAT on 20 June.

For nygh - everything is esubmission, just need to submit cheque. The good thing about nygh DSA is we can track progress using the same website for DSA application. When I last checked, still no progress for DD (pending interview, pending offer).

                      Good luck!
