All About Primary Schools' Balloting History
-
Dear all
thanks for all the input. I had paid for the SLA service and found both schools to be in Zone 1, ie, within 1 km.
Didnt want to make a trip down the school to check the map, didnt want to call up the school also in case they give a very bo chap attitude. So with the SLA report, it gives me ease of mind.
Hence now will see if I should just slack and get into Phase 2C, or conduct PV to get into Phase 2B. -
Hi, wondering anyone have any statistics from MOE to share for Phase 2c Supplementary?

hi all…I saw the total applicants for RVSP in Phase 2C is 102 applicants for 92 vacancies. So how can i know earlier than the MOE website whether within 2km requires balloting?
if balloting requires, how do they conduct ballot? If 102 applicants for 92 vacancies, they pick 92 applicants as successful 1?
if really cannot get into the sch after ballot, do i submit my application again in phase 2c supp for those sch still have vacancy only or MOE will post our child to sch left with vacancy? -

You need to call the school and ask for the breakdown in distance category. So if total number of applicants within 2km < 92, you're in!hi all....I saw the total applicants for RVSP in Phase 2C is 102 applicants for 92 vacancies. If total applicants for within 1km is less than 92, then all within 1km are successful. Remaining seats will be up for ballot for those between 1km to 2km, if demand is greater than supply for that distance category.
If you are not successful for Phase 2C, then you need to apply again for 2C supp. and you will need to find another school as there won't be any more seats left in your earlier school of choice. -

Just wanna to add on this, if balloting is required at Phase 2C Supp, then the rules of proximity to the school apply again. If unsuccessful at Phase 2C Supp, the parents will have to apply again at Phase 3, which is open to everybody, including foreigners. Only upon failure at this phase will MOE assign the child a school.
So, strategise well. -
