2009 P1 Registration Exercise for 2010 In-Take

curiousl-ks:

Any reason why no one is considering Marymount Convent - since it's also a girl school and looks quite decent to me... could be a good alternative for those not able to get into SCGS and SMPS...

From past years registration history, pretty good chances. There were also lower no of registration for the earlier phase, leaving more places for grabs at Pase 2C...

I'm wondering why the application rate is so low for the school too.. i was from MCS! hheheh.. but I don't have a gal... or else I'll send her to MCS and I dun have to stress abt balloting for a place in SAJS now!
SAJS - Registration status as at 30 July 09

Number of vacancies : 79
Total applicants: 93
within 1km : 63
1 - 2 km : 30

*sighs* this means I'll have to ballot for one of the 16 places. *keeps fingers crossed*

i am also within 1-2 km... sigh... dun know shd go and try my luck today ?
did u register? cos now there are 30 of us balloting for the pathetic 9 places. *mega sulks* and for me... it was a case of staying at the wrong block (cos if I stayed at the next block.. it would be within 1km....)

We just posted some http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/2010-p1-registration-phase-2c on the 2009 Phase 2C registration exercise.

In general, there has not been that many surprises. Some notable ones are:
- CHIJ St. Nicholas, where the APP was only 132% compared to the 173% average over the last 3 years.

- CHIJ Katong, St. Anthony's Canossian, and CHIJ OLGC escaping balloting. St. Anthony's Canossian's final 60% APP is remarkably small compared to its average of 102%.

- Red hot schools:
St Hilda's with 330% APP
Rivervale with 286%
Rulang with 281%
West Grove with 272%
Nan Chiau with 262%
Catholic High with 257%
Jurong West with 253%
South View Primary with 247%
Nan Hua Primary with 233%
Mee Toh Primary with 232%
Rosyth with 214%
Red Swastika with 210%

This generally corresponded to our results on the 2nd day except for:
Radin Mas (decreased from 203% to 197%)
Rosyth (increased from 195% to 214%)
Red Swastika (increased from 189% to 210%

Hopefully, this information will allow parents participating in the P1 registration exercise NEXT year to plan more effectively.

Good luck to all those balloting on 11 Apri!

Dont worry, ppl like me would still be lurking around, hee...
