The parents are interviewed too? Stress!
-
Are parents interviewed during DSA too? Or just for those who applied after PLSE results were released?
Hopefully in time, they’ll extend the programme to a 6-year one. -

really depends on their enrolment strategy. For NUSH, think the # of vacancies left after DSA is VERY small so those who get in via PSLE usually had extremely high t-score coz competition is great
Their new campus will be ready end of this year and probably will move there in 2012. I did ask them whether the intake will increase after that but they said they will still maintain the same number of places. So they may or may not conduct the post-PSLE intake this year. Hopefully they do because there may still be pupils who are keen but missed the DSA. -
By the way, how does this t-score thing work? I never quite figured it out. It's upon 400 for 4 subjects in the report book which is different from this t-score thing.
Sorry but I'm blurr in this area.

Erh.. Juz to share some fact about NUSH enrollment. My DD is in 2011 cohort. NUSH enrolment is also strictly 90% DSA (i.e 153 COs and unknown no of potential WLs ) and only 10% thru PSLE posting (17 places, last year COP 264 ) out of potential 170 yearly intake. This info is shared by the Principal, Dr Hang.

The 2011 cohort is only 140 meaning. If the 10% PSLE is taken up, it means that the actual DSA intake (CO and WLs) is 123 out of the possible 153 DSA placings. -
They don’t interview parents during DSA and I think not all parents were interviewed for the post-PSLE application. The parent and child whose appointment was ahead of us, only the child was interviewed. After my son’s interview, the VP asked to see me. I was wondering whether my son has said something wrong or was unable to answer. I was all nerves but they were very nice abt it and assured me that they just want to know more about him. I took it as a good sign that they were interested in him. But we still had to wait for them to consider. Which meant we still went through the whole sec sch selection, submit option form, etc. We were only informed 1 day before the sec sch posting results were out. So the next day was a hectic running around to get him transferred fm the sch he was posted to and register at SST after that. But it was all worth it when I see his happy face.

This is what I read on the MOE website. Anyone knows more about the future developements of this school? -
Hey, has anyone received news from SST on the selection camp? Anxiously waiting for their news.... will you know the dates of the camp? :scratchhead:
