For Rulang very steady ,they only shortlist 45 regardless no of applicants.this year 190 plus for 2010 applicantsThank you jedamum for your info ...
Rulang is a good school so not sure if they accept PV under phase2B? Need to give the school a call to check up.
Anyone any idea when rulang open for PV application?
Hpe this is helpful -
I have registered my child for my 1st choice school which si 1-2km. However, after day 2, the number of children applied were more than the seats available. My 2nd choice is 1km away. I was thinking that I just go for my 1st choice and if not successful after balloting then try for my 2 choice during phase 2C sup.
Does Phase 2C sup go according to distant as well and perform balloting if demand more than supply? -

2C 100 VACANCIES 150 REGISTERED. SCHOOL WILL INFORM THOSE THAT IS MORE THAT 1KM TO WITHDRWA. IF HAPPEN ONLY 30 IS MORE THAN IKM THAT BAL 120 WHICH IS WITHIN 1KM STILL NEED BALLOTING -
So if we had completed PV 40 hours with the school, would they issued us any letter of service?

WHEN YOU APPLY UNDER 2B THE SCHOOL WILL KNOW YOU HAD BEEN A VOLUNTEER BIT I DON'T KNOW HOW IS THE DOCUMENT ISSUED BECAUSE DIFFERENT SCHOOL MIGHT HAVE DIFFERENT PRACTISE -
Thks Tohwei,
I mean if I fail to get my 1st choice after balloting for phase 2C, I need to go for phase 2C supplementary.
So for Phase2C supplementary, does it work the same? Does it go by distant if the seats are lesser than the children apply?tohwei:

For my case, what i do is i waited until the last day then register because MOE website will be updated around 8pm second last day. then you have to calculate all the vacancies in area. then chose one that is no so crowded yet you have a higher chance of going in, instead of going balloting then wait for 2c supplementary what happen those rejected in 2c their distance is within 1-2km yours in further, you loose out again, finally landed in a school of not your choice lagi worstThks Tohwei,

hi, thanks for the helpful tip. Luck, in other words, is just the caculation of your chances.
I have written in to apply PV some time back and recently the school finally responded and gave me a reference number for future communication purpose. Good news or bad news for me?
Does it mean the school has accepted my application and now I just need to wait for them to assign me the PV task?? or it is just simply an acknowledgement of their receipt of my application email?
