For exercise books, we will need to buy from school bookshop? Do schools have the school name and crest printed on all exercise books? (including jotter books, chinese writing exercise books, etc)

If your school bookstore is called Pacific, then better to get from Popular. My dd school's bookstore used to be Delta and price was okay. Now both my kids school bookstore run by Pacific. I switch to Pouplar, it's cheaper and also can get all the stationary at the same time.

For p1, we bought daughter's books from school...bcos of exercise books and uniforms. But from next year, most prob buy from popular since there is 5% discount for school textbooks and there is no need to buy uniforms again.

Suggest to get the P1 books fm school, so that you wont miss out any needed items, BUT must be very careful of those unnecessary items like paintbrush, art file, etc. Your kid might not be using throughout the six years.

Very convenient if ordering online thru Popular, once they have packed all the books you ordered, they will send you an email/sms to inform. Just go down to branch you indicated. They packed all books inside a box and will go thru all books with you on the spot while collection.

Got to check those items under 'Miscellaneous'. Paint brush, crayon, colour pencil and art file are unnecessary. Check each and every item against the booklist with the staff on the spot. I found 2 missing items in the box (paid for using credit card). Got the staff to give me a refund.
DON'T throw away the booklist...some of the items may out of stock or unavailable until later part of the year.

You must have crystal ball, or else how did you know that I would have problem letting go? Yes, it would be a problem. Sometimes when the school bus takes them to school, my heart will ache a bit. Though I do enjoy the hrs when I can nap with bb :rotflmao:
