Oh yes, as what H2O said, the school recently introduce speech and drama for P1, and we pay a fee out of their edusave account, but it is incorporated into their lesson time. I still think it is a pretty good exposure. After all, drama is a also a form of art.

Uniforms - I bought 2 sets of uniforms and 3 sets of PE attires (only one type available), so that if I am caught up in my work to do laundry, I don't have to worry about them being short of school attires. That having said, I also bought them each 5 pair of socks ... a little overkill, maybe. 😄

        HI BlueBells,

Did you send your kid to before/after school care? If so, which one?

          Thanks BlueBell, Thanks H2O 🙂

Mmmm, speech and drama incorporated into their lesson, sounds interesting, I am sure the students will all luv it.

Hee hee, one more question, for shoes, can it be any black shoes? I recently got crocs shoes (not sandals) with holes at the side, is it acceptable? Cos if ok, at least i don't have to buy again 🙂

            Hi H2O,

I send my kid to a student care near LRT. It was more convenient for me 2 years ago since I had one in a childcare and 1 at student care.

There is one near to NCPS (but I can’t remember the name), which has alot more NCPS kids.

            Hi Tweety,

I am not sure about the shoes. Might be good to call the school and check. For convenience sake, I just bought everything from school as we still need the shoe laces that comes pre-printed with the school’s name in chines.

              Hi BlueBells,

thanks for your reply. Wow, i did not know even shoe laces have to get from school. I think I really \"sua ku\" already.

how does the school group the children into their P1 classes? N what are the charges for student care? What do they do in student care? thanks 🙂

I was told it was random arrangement for the P1 children. Each student care varies in costs, about S$300 per kid, and each student care has their own set of time table for the kids. Will do you good to check out one and ask for their daily routine at the centre to get a feel.

                      Hi Sysherlene,

                      Congrats!!

Last year, the newly minted P1s bought their uniforms in the first two weeks of the Nov school holidays, and they were required to wear the NCPS uniforms for the orientation.

Things your child will need to bring - pencil case, colour pencils, water bottle.

I can’t remember what parents need to bring, but cash is definitely one of them (if your child is taking school bus), have your child’s pick-up / drop-off address ready on hand (especially if your child is in student care). The school will send out information to you round about early Nov with details of the orientation agenda and advise what are the things you need to bring.

Thanks alot to Tweety17 & Bluebell. Somehow I did not turn on the \"watch replies\" for this topic :salute:

Can I ask whether there are exams for Primary 1 students in NCPS? I heard from my friends that some of the schools do not need their P1 & P2 students to take exams?

Thanks alot for the advise again. 😄
