I also scratch my head how actually does the agencies earn money for all their travel deals going at $50, $60 etc. to ShangHai, Beijing etc.I to the travel agency to redeem my voucher on the 5d4n $50 to Hanan. So far so good but i went down 2x to redeem the voucher cos i was told; once i fixed the dates n names, i will need to pay $30 for any changes thereafter, thus decided to hold back & book the flights first as a $8/way/pax is chargeable if the agent were to book for us. ( they dont look very friendly n helpful....)
my advice; do your homework, check your prefered travelling flight availability + any promotional flight fees , then, call to double cfm with the travel agency whether they have \"confirmed groups \" before you purchase the tickets online.
This way, u need only to go to agent once to redeem your ticket ( there will be another briefing nearer to your etd )
my only consent is, how the agent earn if the trip cost only $50 n it actually included accomodation, guided tour, all meals... ?????
Pls do keep us update after your trip to Hanan ok.
Btw, when are you leaving for your trip? -
i think if you just want reviews, can just check out at alldealsleak.com or forum.alldealsleak.com should be good enough, many ppl there can provide u answer.
anyway saw this deal at http://www.todaysmotherhood.com/deals about the ice cream deals. look so cute ! wanna buy it for my two kids. what you guys think about it? -

yes it is indeed puzzling... I was attracted to S$50 Shanghai trip and dropped alldealsleak.com a mail to seek advise but was told there will be hidden costs and weird timings or tips need to be given to tour guide. As i am a relative fussy traveller, I prefer not to take the risk, especially I am travelling with old mother and young daughter...i think if you just want reviews, can just check out at alldealsleak.com or forum.alldealsleak.com should be good enough, many ppl there can provide u answer.

I bought too. When I printed out the vouchers, I realised the fine print indicated that the $5 is excluding tax and GST.
So far, the vouchers I've purchased from Groupon include the DIY cake, hair spa, Ruyi meals and etc. Those on restaurant deals are fuss free and worth a buy. Don't think I'll get those on travel deals and facials & massage. It understand it is not easy to book an appointment for facialss/massage. Time slots available for Groupon members are not so good. -

Oh I didnt know it excludes tax and gst. I dont remember seeing this on the group website before you purchase the voucher.bigsnoopy:

I didn't read the fine print though, not sure if there's any catch... -
