Club 2005 Kids

There are so many Chinese book series for young kids that I am confused which one is suitable.
I like the 四五快读 because the author will help parents on how to teach the characters to the kid.
Parents will have to read 30 pages of instruction. For each lesson, the author will have suggestion on how to teach each character.
There's no English, so have to understand the language.
We also have to cut out the characters card found at the back of each book.
The only part that I don't like is that some phrases are more suitable in China's context.
Once the child is able to recognise the characters, then can introduce storybooks to the child. In the meantime, can still read Chinese books to them to help them build the interest and recognise words along the way. -

Entering the war in phase 2C and options are ZDPS (nearest) and CHIJ(Kellock) (no direct bus). RMPS definitely no chance since it is so hot. Other possible options include Cantonment PS and GESPS.
Tough decisions! P2C means it is the distance game right? Why do you say no chance at RMPS? Is it more than 1km? -

Saw images of the book online, but reading that 30 pages of instructions in Chinese will probably kill me first! :scared:Parents will have to read 30 pages of instruction. For each lesson, the author will have suggestion on how to teach each character.

Just to go along with the Kiasu theme in this forum, I am already looking for a Chinese tutor for my DD now!
I am also thinking of that.
Do you manage to find one already?

Are you now selecting schools base on the chances of getting in or are you looking for other attributes as well? You can read the Bukit Merah Primary School thread to know more about the schools.
Since you list ZD and CHIJ first, I take it they are your preferred choices?
For ZD, from previous history, there's a possibility of balloting for between 1-2km. How near is your home distance to the school?
For CHIJ, of the last 5 yrs, only no ballot for last year. Again how far is your home from the school?
AS for GES and Cantoment, there's no balloting thus far. But there's balloting for GES during P2C Supp.
So if you prefer ZD and CHIJ, I suggest to monitor the number of applicants. Check with the school on the 3rd day to see how many applicants and if there's balloting, which distance are they balloting at. You can then decide which school to register. Registration ends at 4.30pm. so you will need to be mindful of the time.
Good luck. -
