      Hi fellow breadmakers

      Good news to share...

After dropping some hints, my hubby went to OG and buy the Z machine as he was nearby ....and as he has to spend $50 to be entitled to buy the product at the special rate ...he bought a wok too ... that's for my mil who was delighted ๐Ÿ™‚

I baked my first loaf of basic bread yesterday ...and it was a success! It tasted yummy with mushroom soup for this morning breakfast :imcool:

The only upset was the slicing process ...the normal kitchen didn't work well ....anywae ... can't wait to bake another loaf again :boogie:

Csc, congratulations on your new toy! Wow your DH is so sweet. Can go OG to shop for you some more.
Did you buy the bread knife! You need one in order to slice the loaf thinly and beautifully. :celebrate:

Hi all, may I join this club ? I have a very old Breville, stopped baking bread for a while but re-started recently. Anyone here into making 100% wholemeal breads ?

My friend bought Z bread machine, very good reviews like those mentioned earlier in the thread. Actually small loaf to be finished in a day is good as you can bake fresh loaf everyday. Home-baked bread no preservatives so can't keep well.

csc, you need a serrated knife so the bread can maintain structure when you slice.

Taste good and smell wonderfully, only setback is the appearance  it doesnt turn out lustre green like store bought ones ... as u can see from the pic, it's pale green ... ...
Wow... Makes me feel like eating a pandan bread now.

Wow L-earner, your pandan bread looks heavenly.
How did you make your pandan juice? I pounded mine the other time, but the colour didn't turn out so green. It looked more yellowish instead.

                        *raise hands* Me!!!

I first started out with my Z baking 100% wholemeal breads. But it never turned out 'nice.' It had a dense look and taste. So I experimented with the portions using bread and wholemeal flour and finally came up with a 1 cup wholemeal and 1 cup bread flour combi for the bread to turn out just nice.

What about you?? Do you bake 100% wholemeal breads??
